Gotta feel for Manny Machado. That was a gruesome knee injury.

For sure, I got the exact same injury he suffered a few years and I feel his pain. The good part is that it heals fast and he'll back to normal in no time.

Yeah, absolutely. I'm relieved to hear it. You don't ever want to see a young player like that seriously injured.

Dice-K just ends the Reds' hope for the central with a 7.2IP shut out baseball, Mets won 1-0

Now in his last 4 starts, he pitch to a 1.38ERA while averaging 6.2IP

He has really hurt that team hasn't he.

All season. He blew a huge game at Fenway earlier this year.

Admiring a HR for the first run of the game in a losing season. What a f***ing douchenozzle.

Now, let's say a Braves fan threw the ball back on the field. Could the Braves make an appeal at home with it? :)

Definitely the first time I've seen a guy tossed before completing a HR trot.

After tonight I cannot imagine him pitching the 9th again. Francona brought him with a 6-1 cushion to get his s*** together, he departed 6-5 as the Guardians held on to win.

Toronto is putting the pressure on the Rays pen. They left the bases loaded in the 7th down 7-4. In the 8th, they have 1st and 3rd with 2 outs down 7-6. Edited by a700hitter

What a best-case scenario. The two tougher wild card teams give it their all for an elimination game, fly to Cleveland for another game, and the winner flies to Boston for the ALDS to face a well-rested Red Sox team.

Personally I wouldn't normally think there is any way Cleveland beats either the Rays or Rangers in the second game. On the other hand, Cleveland is 5-1 against Texas this season, which is a better record than the Sox have. I hope they can pull it off, I'd much rather see the Guardians in the DS than the others.

Whoever comes out of this is going to have played 2 games in a stretch where we've played none. I'm worried about the winner still having a good sense of rhythm while we go out there looking stiff and awkward from the layoff. I think I'd prefer to end up facing the Rangers, even if we blow in Arlington. I don't want any part of Cleveland with the kind of tear they're on, and I never feel like dealing with the Rays.

We visit the wild card winner for two and then come back to Fenway for three, right?

I think that the Guardians will be able to beat either team and I would like the Rays to lose because they would be considered "not in the playoffs." How great would that be?
