The Royals went 9-1 from June 5 to June 14

The Twins went 7-1 from 5/27 - 6/4.

The Angels won 8 in a row from 5/18 to 5/26

Hell the Astros went 8-2 with a 6 game win streak from 5/27 to 6/3.

Even bad teams go on good streaks. Don't overrate the 9 games and underrate the other 63

While this is true, I think a difference with Toronto is that this is along the lines of how we expected them to play at the beginning of the year. (I guess the Angels are in the same boat, but the difference is Toronto has been getting healthier and returning players, so when Reyes returns it could be a spark)

I understand the argument, and its valid, but at the same time, you can't discount the entire season.

If they've hit these struggles before, they'll hit them again. And they didn't leave themselves nearly enough wiggle room to go through another patch of 2-8 or 2-10 baseball and survive

I'll put up any sig/avatar bet with anyone who thinks the Blue Jays are going to do something. I'll even let you pick the terms of the bet as long as it's reasonable. You can even choose the duration of the sig/avatar bet.

I think the Jays buried themselves with the slow start, and can't possibly play to this level for a long period of time, but they have a lot of talent. Their offense is above-average is about to get a huge upgrade at SS when Reyes gets back. They are 5th in MLB in bullpen ERA. The starting rotation has been their achilles heel all year, but they are showing signs of improvement, and Dickey, Johnson, Buehrle have good track records.

However, even if they played .580 ball the rest of the way, they'd still wind up with only 87 wins. That might get them a wild card, but I think they are too far behind Boston to come back.

The AL East is going to take 94-96 wins to take. The Sox are on a 96 win pace right now through nearly 1/2 of the games. And they will improve themselves at the deadline.

That's going to be a huge disadvantage for the Jays because I highly doubt they will upgrade if they're still 6-7 games out in late July, where the Sox, Orioles, A's, and Rangers will likely all upgrade

I forgot some people took that serious. Maybe next time I post something like "I'll give my left nut to see the Red Sox win the WS this year", I hope people don't ask me if I'm ok...

edit: And everyone knew I was an 18 year old senior in high school. They really believed that I could afford it lmfao.

Wonder whether Los Padres are for real or not lol

On the other hand LAD is a complete mess. They can't win even with Kershaw on the mound.

I don't think anyone was going to send a collection agent to your house, but your buds will throw it up to you for as long as people remember. It's just part of the deal.

Chien-Ming Wang's starting for the Blue Jays against the Orioles, and he's up 1-0. This has been a really interesting series, it has quite a few implications for how the division might shape up.

The Blue Jays have now won 10 in a row. They beat the O's so we have a chance to pad our division lead.

Jays are on a roll for sure. They're playing like people expected. Tigers will be tough tonight and tomorrow.

Blue Jays won their 10th game in a row today.

Seems like the division is officially wide open for any team.

Gonna be fun the second half.
