At least we have our best players on the bench, maybe we can pinch hit and squeak one out.

I wouldn't expect him to know that. He wants to trade Beckett.

No the guy with a 4+ ERA that's over weight and doesn't put the effort into preparing for his starts. You had him confused with someone else.

There is zero reason to send Pedroia there when you could have men on 1st and 2nd with 1 out. Zero reason.

You mean second and third

So doesn't 90% of Red Sox fans that actually realize he's the issue in the clubhouse. He's the ring leader of a lazy pitching rotation.

First off. There are better stats to judge a pitcher except ERA. Second off, he's been money all year except for 2 aberrations in which he was on about a 10 day layoff with an injury issue thrown in. On a regular schedule this year, he's been pretty damn similar to the guy who had dominated the league last year.

I'm so f***ing sick of this jeckyl and hyde team.

Mediocre teams play mediocre baseball. They have some winning streaks and some losing streaks, always, by definition, ending up near .500. Sound familiar? This is a very mediocre team.

If that's true I'd say 90% of Red Sox fans are delusional. He's been our best starter.

Did you guys see that Gammons rain delay thing from last night. I posted about it in last night's game thread.

Anyway so the Gammon's story goes, Pedey very recently noticed that WMB was using a middle infielder's glove much like his own. They are smaller than what is standard for a third baseman. Pedey called the glove rep and ordered WMB up a true 3rd baseman's glove. However it has not arrived as yet. So at least according to Gammons, WMB is no longer using the small glove but is using a glove that is not familiar to him as his new glove has not arrived and has obviously not been broken in.

That's unsubstantiated rumors. What we know, factually, is that the guy is our best pitcher and it's probably a good idea not to trade him.

He's been the best in a rotation of crap, hardly something we should be impressed with.

Sox fans haven't come off as the rational type this year. I wouldn't be surprised if 90% of thought as Semper Fi does. Doesn't mean they're right.

Our best starter is most teams best #5. lol

Wait, Morales is pretty bomb. Not including him in that statement.

Buchholz was awesome for three in a row. Sorta sucked on that 4th. Now is bleeding out his intestines 'cause his hot wife won't blow him, or something.

ARGH!!

JUST SCORE GUYS. ONE RUN. ONE SIXTH OF YOUR AVERAGE RUNS PER GAME!!

This is just opinion but I actually think Beckett no longer wants to be here and that if true would be a very good reason to trade him at some point.

I was thinking about that. Something appears to be up with WMB defensively tonight.

Wow...that seems messed up that they can't get the Red Sox 3B a proper glove.

Thats not saying much. He ranks 26th of 58 among AL pitcher with at least 60 IP. Thats middle of the pack...for our supposed ace. He is part of the problem. If he were our #3 SP he would be fine.

Well I love to say everything is all roses and lollipops but we don't have anybody else. He's better than what we have.

I'm sure that number would be better if not for the two outlier starts against Detroit and Cleveland.
