Hey guys, first let me tell all of you that I am most definitely not a religous fanatic or some Bible thumping phony. I am a flawed indiviidual and a sinner. I most definitely am. I am a strong believer in the Lord, however, and would be a lot worse without Him and that is important for what I'm going to say......I REALLY THINK THAT GOD IS PUNISHING THE RED SOX SEVERELY FOR THEIR PLOFIGATE AND ARROGANT WAYS WHEN THEY WERE ON TOP OF THE BASEBBALL WORLD. They did stupid things with personnel, kept favorite and sacred cows and traded away prospects that might have been helpful down the road. Epstein acted like he was Alexander the Great, Lucchino like Stalin and Henry as if he were an Emperor. In the meantime our team became a hated ball club by others, whether it was because of jealousy or because of what they perceived as our arrogance and self-importance.

No team in baseball has suffered the amount of critical injuries as we have....no team!!!!! There has to e some reason for it whether it is bad karma, the wrath of the gods, bad luck or a combination of different things. To regain any semblance of respectability in the eyes of nature and nature's God there is going to have to be a self cleansing of some kind so that whoever determines these things starts smiling on our team because right now we see to get nothing but angry looks and snears. Yes, this sounds off the wall, and it also does to me, but can anyone give a better take on w hy we suffer mishaps so much more than o ther teams?

What does this have to do with "Youk to White Sox"??

Youk could go on to win the MVP, and it was still the right trade.

The baseball season is like one of those hourglasses. At the halfway point, you turn it around, and the filled part starts emptying sand into the vacant part. The hot teams and the hot players get cold, and the cold teams and the cold players get hot. It's a new ballgame.

Youk still has something left, but no one forget that the reason we traded him is because he needed to go. He was performing horrible in Boston and Middlebrooks was proving that it was his time. It is unfortunate that Middlebrooks got hurt right after, but this was the right move. Youk needed a change of scenery. He is not going to ever be the player he once was, but he will definitely have moments when he will shine like yesterday.

Youk was under contract until the end of the season. We are still paying him. If he was on our bench, he would have been a nice insurance policy. Right now, he'd be playing, because the kid is injured. It would be much better than Punto. Today, we have some minor leaguer playing 3rd, and I think he is a first baseman. Youkilis was not going to burn down the clubhouse if he was on our bench. There simply was no rush to get rid of him.

The organization is showing signs of stress-cracking. I don't think they know what the hell they are doing in the front office.

sigh! baseball gods are f***ing us up again

Really...they are pissing themselves at us the last week or so. Reddick, Crisp and Moss all homering against us, while Bailey and Sweeney aren't even playing. Youkilis turning right back into 2007 Youkilis as soon as we move him. Rizzo hitting bombs while Gonzo hits singles.

Oh well...maybe Lillibridge will heat up.

LOL on Lilibridge comment

we should just stop trading players. period. i say never take out a talent that we put out on the ML level to another team.

however Rizzo was a bust in SD. so they grabbed him again for Cashner trade and Cashner is now injured. maybe not more than 15 days.

There was no possible way for us to hold onto youk. It just wasnt gonna happen. He had to go.

I was feeling the same way too! but now somehow i feel differently. I know its a couple of hot games for Youk and I wish him well if he can stay healthy and play as good as he has for us

but if WMB cannot stay fit, we are royally screwed. We have been injured so bad this year that even backup OFers have had time on the DL.

I have never felt this way not even last year man!

can someone tell me when was the last time a trade worked out in our favor!!

if 9/10 of our trades are busting out, we should stop doing it.

Gagne we lost David Murphy and i still miss David Murphy, Kason Gabbard never pitched decent in Tex

Jason Bay trade we lost Manny/Brandon Moss

Bailey/Sweeney we lost Reddick

Scutaro/Mortensen trade is actually working out well so far for us.

Aviles was he traded? or just acquired

how about Morales, was he traded or acquired

i know Beckett/Lowell trade worked out for us much better than them

sorry this is the Youk thread but i am just seeing our % of doing a decent trade the last 10 years and so far its more bad than good.

We could put together a team of traded/released Red Sox.

1B Rizzo

2B Scutaro

SS Lowrie

3B Youkilis

C Kottaras

LF Murphy

CF Crisp

RF Reddick

DH Moss

P Masterson
