f*** this team. f*** this season. It's s*** like this that make up the many reasons we won't be going to the postseason.
I told you guys at the beginning of the summer to spend a lot of time at the beach, because baseball wasn't going to be fun for Yankee fans. You should have taken my advice.

You definetly have to consider the "distraction factor" when it comes to A-rod. He's a constant story of failure in clutch situations and always in the headlines for something negative. I'm not a huge believer of team chemistry but there is always negative energy focused around A-Rod and that can't be good for him/the team.

Do you honestly think that other players are distracted by A-Rod's failures in big situations?

Pettitte is being beaten like a pinata by the Blue Jays. In the 2nd inning the Jays are up 4-0. I hope the Yankee fans are enjoying the last summer weekend at the beach.

BTW Nady is a terrible outfielder

It was great seeing some guts and determination on the baseball field yesterday. It's a shame it came from the Jays, though I've gotten used to only seeing that from the opposing teams.

They can still hit. If Moose gets his "vet" strikezone and they catch a good start from the rest, they can handle Tampa easily.

Tampa has been absurdly good in 1 run games. They are 26-15. Last year's wire to wire Sox, with the best BP in the AL, usually what it takes for a very good 1-run game record, were 22-28. This is what I've seen lately when following the scoreboard too. They only score 2, it's OK the pitcher only gives up 1. They give up 9, it's OK the offense scores 10. At some point, they'll win 10-1 and lose 9-2.

5.5 out of the division lead going into sept isnt insurmountable but it is grim.

id prefer they do as much coasting as possible,we'll need to beat anaheim anyways, why not in the 1st round as we usually do?

a rested becks lester and dice k along with the bullpen is essential

wake is exhausted and maybe hurt as well.

we got drew lowell and casey back this month, paul byrd is giving us exactly what we expected and this is also huge....

Is it possible the halo's peaked too early?

ya it is

but theyve owned us all year so they deserve to be labeled the favorites,i just refuse to annoint them anything until the games are played

I thought Wake looked pretty good the other day.

But I completely agree with you - if we can build that WC to five, six games by the end of next week that would be huge.

Minnesota has a very easy schedule after this roadie, though.
