Dusseldorf is warming in the Yankees pen and the announcers are speculating that Kennedy might be injured...or maybe he just stinks.

I'd go with the latter

Probably through September too...unless they send him back to AAA' date=' which is where he NEEDS to be.[/quote']

Is he gonna bitch again if he is sent to minors now?

8-8 tie game.

Kennedy has some injury that I can't pronounce.

The Yankee FO has been really creative in DL'ing the young phenoms.

Yanks blow a 10th inning lead, 2 scoreless inning from MO and lose to the O's 10-9. With a bases loaded no out situation in the top of the 10th and ARod up, the Yankees end up getting only one run. ARod hit a ball to the drawn in Roberts who made a great play to cut off the runner at the plate and Captain Intangibles (who had a horrible intangible game) got double up at 3rd after getting a very poor start off of 2nd base.

He also made a crucial mistake in the 11th, by throwing home instead of keeping Huff at second.

Anyway, I've never enjoyed a Yankees loss more than this one in awhile. This one hurt.

Jeter also got picked off second with Arod up.

Jeter also failed to get a bunt down in the 9th.

As much as the pitching absolutely sucked in this one, Jeter and ARod stand out as being just putrid, even though ARod did hit a tater.

BTW, Not sure what Girardi was doing today. Ohlendorf has had his arm abused this yr and he has actually shown to be pretty good in limited use. He breezes through inning #1 and then hangs everything in inning #2. Did he need to wait for the third HR to tie it at 8 before kinda figuring out that he didnt have much of anything by that second inning?

And in terms of helping the club, you think Cashman can give us another pitcher? Hell, 12 pitchers is not enough when you have one transitioning to the rotation and another kid in the rotation hit or miss with giving you any more than 5IP. Either have Joba piggybacking with Kennedy or bring up pitcher #13.

I have a feeling we see either JB Cox, Chris Britton or David Robertson coming up as well as one more starter. McCutchen just got called up to AAA and had a weak performance #1, so I dont see that happening. Steven White just got moved to the pen, which would likely mean he isnt going to be starting. Dan Giese had been fantastic until he was lit up for 7 runs today. Igawa has been meat since being demoted. Alan Horne and Chase Wright are on the DL. I honestly have a feeling we have 3 moves coming up...

DL Kennedy (which has already been done) and call up Chris Britton. This gives us a long man who can throw strikes

Option Ohlendorf to AAA to save his arm from Girardi and bring up Scott Patterson who has been damn good in ST and in the second month of the season

DFA Ensberg, move Joba to the rotation with a 55 pitch limit in start #1 (which actually isnt too far off when you consider he is expected to throw 55 pitches his next outing) and bring up JB Cox who can give multiple innings.

You really only suffer from Joba's short pitch limit in two outings (the 55 pitch limit and the 70 pitch limit) before he hangs out at 85 for awhile. You fill that hole by having 13 pitchers take the load.

It is rough sailing now..

A common characteristic of Red Sox fanatics is a hatred of the Yankees.

I'd respectfully disagree. Many Red Sox fans simply do not care about any other team besides the Sox. Hate the Yankees? No, they're not even on my radar. Those who are consumed with hatred for the Yanks are not true Sox fans, IMO.

Our team is clearly superior to the Yankees and has been for several years. Yet, we hate the Yankees despite this knowledge of Red Sox superiority. The Nation continues to grow and prosper and we love rubbing it in the face of the arrogant Yankee fans who are in an unhealthy state of denial.

Hmm. Perhaps you'd be better served displaying an ounce of humility. What comes around goes around and if you give s*** now, ya better be prepared to take it if the tables are turned at some point. I'd prefer Sox fans enjoy the here and now and not resort to what I consider Yankee fan-like taunts.

i dunno

you live too close to ny jim

i hate the f***ing yankees and if the sox go 1-161 and they go 0-162 i had a good summer

that said

joe girardi is the love child of don zimmer and lee thomas.

brian cashman has got to have photos of steinberger f***ing a 10 year old thai boy.

derek jeter seems distracted, captain avon has looked disinterested all year,i assume he f***ing hates giradi...

arod??bases loaded and a fly ball gives you the lead....cant count on this guy to deliver when it matters...ever...

the joba is being stretched into a starter, they're losing games because of the rudderless leadership that dont know when to s*** whistle or wind their watch, why this was done in may is mindboggling and reeks of panic..

how long before joba joins the other 2 untouchables on the dl?....

God help me i enjoy this s***.

That's just pathetic though. Worry about your own f***ing team. It's so sad that you guys can get a bigger erection over the New York Yankees than you can for your girlfriends/wives/boyfriends/stuffed animals, etc.

Those who are consumed with hatred for the Yanks are not true Sox fans, IMO.[/quote']First of all, neither you and nor anyone else is an authority on who is or is not a Red Sox fan. BTW who said anything about being "consumed" by hatred. Hating your opponent and rival doesn't mean that you are consumed with hatred. In fact, it is a sign of respect akin to a star player being booed in a visiting stadium. In NY, Ranger Hockey fans hate the Islanders and islander fans hate the Rangers. Does that mean that Ranger fans are not true Ranger fans? That is not even logical. When we no longer hate the Yankees, it will be because they have become non-entities. How happy do you think the Yankee fans will be about that? They would yearn for the times when we broke their chops.

I'd prefer Sox fans enjoy the here and now and not resort to what I consider Yankee fan-like taunts.[/quote']I learned that being humble when the Red Sox were the superior team did not ensure against obnoxious behavior by Yankee fans when the tide turned. From '86 to '90, the Sox won 3 division championships in 5 years. My restrained approach to Yankee fans was not met in kind from '96 to 2000 when they stuffed it in our faces at every opportunity. I am enjoying the here and now and I am not missing the opportunity to rub their faces in it. I live in NY, and some of the bigger a-hole Yankee fans are still trying to rub our faces in 26 championships, Aaron Boone and Bucky Dent, etc. Once I sense the Yankee fan arrogance, I hit with the killer blows. When the tide turns, I expect that Yankee fans will be just as vicious as before, but I will not have missed my opportunity in the here and now.

Whatever. Just be ready to take it when the pendulum swings back. Soon.

Hah! I am a Red Sox fan who lives in NY. I am pretty sure that I can take it. The question is how long will you be able to take what has been getting dished out to Yankee fans for the last 4 years. You could always become a soccer fan.

Heh, funny you say that. One of my Yankee fan friends has done just that.

Experience with this is not something Sox fans lack. It's fun to watch Yankee fans deal with it though, so hopefully it continues.

Haha, I'm sorry, I thought you said soccer for a second there.

Although, Euro 08 starts soon. That's always exciting. ALLEZ LES BLEUS.

People were going a little nuts this weekend in Paris. I was watching the game, but fell asleep after 72 or 74 minutes and the game was still scoreless. How'd it end up?

That match wasn't a part of the Euro cup, I think they played Ecuador, but they won that one 2-0 I think. I saw the highlights on sportscenter and this dude Gomis scored two incredible goals.

It's gonna be fun to watch, I'm pissed im not over there for this.
