This also means that the last 3 perfect games' date=' and 4 of the last 5 perfect games were thrown by lefties.[/quote']

Another interesting stat is the last two perfect games have been against the Rays.

Dallas Braden's grandmother is here and speaking to the press. She says, and I'm not joking, "Stick it, A-Rod."

f***ing awesome.

I'd forgotten that Buehrle's perfecto last year was against Tampa Bay.

Stick it, A-Rod? Branden was the one running his mouth, telling a reporter the two will have to settle it with knuckles if it happens again. A-Rod simply took the shortest route from point A to point B

A-Rod is a tool and he took a toolbag route from point A to point B.

WAY TO GO DALLAS!!!!!!

I wonder if A-Rod knows who Dallas Braden is now

 I'm sure he's heard of him by now.

But all the Braden/A-Rod s*** aside, he did something incredible today and deserves all the props in the world. Watching that 9th inning was quite enjoyable.

"Good for him. He threw a perfect game, and even better he beat the Rays."

Also' date=' I bet that the Rays are happy that they are no longer the most recent team to get no-hit/perfect gamed.[/quote']

While they may not look as bad now, getting a perfect game thrown against you by Dallas Braden as opposed to Roy Halladay still looks a hell of a lot worse.

It's still worse, but this will help the memory move on. Now the Marlins can be in shame until the next team (probably the Rays again) is perfect gamed.

Is it just me or are we seeing more and more no hitters / perfect games. 20 perfect games in history and I can remember what, 6 of them?

I don't know how "recently" we're talking about here, but I'd imagine that we'll continue to see more good pitching performances now that the whole steroid issue has become much more scrutinized.
