Halladay pitching in the NL, it was only a matter of time IMO. Won't be shocked at all to see him throw another no-hitter while pitching in Philly. Good for him. Always liked the Doc, especially now since he is out of the AL East :D

I wonder why the Marlins players didn't try to bunt to get on base to break up the perfect game. ;)

I was following the game and one guy (Coughlan?) did try, he just didn't get it down.

Sides, since when was Doc afraid to send a message? You bunt on his perfecto, you get the next pitch up in your grill.

I was referencing the thread where we argued whether or not it's ok to bunt in order to break up a perfect game. I was waiting for someone to try and argue the affirmative here, but nobody did.

I agree. Clay's and Lester's no-nos were blowouts, bunting in a blowout no-no is one thing, but this is 1-0. This game was very much in reach for the Marlins and they needed to be allowed to try and win it.

Brandon Morrow with a no-hitter through 5 vs. the Rays. Go f***** figure.

Broken with two outs in the 6th.

I didn't know what was more surprising, that Brandon Morrow had a no hitter through 5, or that he did so without any strikeouts. Then again, this guy was compared to Joba Chamberlain a few years ago when he nearly no-hit the Yankees. He's also been switched back and forth from a starter to a reliever and he looks like he's had some growing pains as a result.

There are other relevant zeros in his line thus far. Three in one season? That's got to be a first.

I might cry if the Guardians get no hit.

If the Guardians get a perfect game thrown against them I hope someone puts up a new Youtube clip of Bruce Drennan's reaction.
