It honestly doesn't. Even if both are struggling Piniero is a much better pitcher than Chacon, IMO.

And you cheer for the Mets too? WHat kind of bandwagon jumper are you?

I've stated several times before this year that I also root for the Mets. Not to the degree that I root for the Yankees but being that they play in and represent my hometown there really isnt any point to root against them unless they are playing the Yankees. So dont throw that bandwagon s*** at me, go back and check all of my posts and you will see that this isnt a bandwagon jumping scenario.

blow me

Lets go Diamonbacks!!

Kilo, this dumbass is who you should be throwing your bandwagon stuff at. An appearant bandwagoner. He was probably rooting for the DBacks in 2001 and started rooting for the Sox in 2003/2004.

Hughes is pitching in Pittsburgh right now.

Not having a stellar inning.

It was just Hughes and Tabata in the Futures game from the Yanks, right?

Also, anybody know why Gossage and Tommy John were wearing World uniforms in the dugout? I've noticed things like this the past few years and was always curious.

I'm pretty sure that he means it makes no sense because nobody is interested in acquiring Chacon.....not even for Piniero.

Right, I realize it doesnt make much sense from a Mariner standpoint, but for the Yankees it makes perfect sense. Agree?

You really suck at understanding the point of rivalry banter. Obviously the sub-forum name isn't accurate. But, it is there to get under the skin of Yankee fans. Your rant proves that it worked.

Yes it has, it's gotten under my skin a tad bit. Its not the fact that its occuring that bothers me, but it's the fact that it's being done via the actual forum and not through posts. I realize this is run by Sox a Sox fan and is a Sox board, but how about some respect from the BOARD. Like I said the first time I went on about something similar to this, I dont care what is said in a post, but it's ridiculous the way it's taking place. It's like George Steinbrenner putting "Boston Sucks" on the marquee outside the Stadium; or Rudy Giuliani putting a big "Boston Sucks" banner outside of city hall when he was mayor. Even though that's probably what they feel they wouldn't do it because of the disrespect factor. But in conversation or interview we know George has no problems sharing his feelings towards the Sox and we can pretty much gather that Rudy doesnt care for them very much either. It's just the principle.

Whatever though, doesn't really matter anymore. Seems pointless to argue about it at this point. I might as well sit back and laugh at how idiotic some of it is considering how the Yanks have finished compared to the Sox and Mets in recent years.

Hughes is overrated....tops prospect in the Yankees organization but I'm not sure that means anything

I would put the " " smiley, but my fellow Yankee fans already did it for me.

Thanks for the laugh though. Appreciate it after a day of Yankees losing and USA losing in the Futures game. Italia did win today which was nice, but thats a different story.

Carry on.

Well, if it doesn't make sense for the Mariners, then it doesn't make sense. Agree?

The point here is, that a trade needs to make sense for both teams to make sense. I know this doesn't always happen in our minds, but that is my criteria for something making sense.

Go right ahead and sit back and laugh on your high horse, and 'Neener, neener, neener' all you want. We can't stop you from being a tight-ass who gets bent out of shape by some harmless banter.

Right, I was just saying that it makes sense for the Yankees. I was solely referring to the Yankees. It obviously makes no sense for the Marniers.

Trust me, harmless banter doesnt bend me out of shape. It just does in this instance because I know if I were to do similar things i'd get jumped all over and it would be you guys getting bent out of shape. Imagine the reactions if I had a Boston Sucks avatar or something.

That's the way the world works, my friend. I know this gets said a lot, but that's just how it is: This is a Red Sox forum. This is where people are homers for the Sox. This is where less than flattering things are said about the Yankees. And, this is where anti-Sox material is derided. Either accept it, or move on.

I post at a couple of Yankee boards, and it is the same way, but reversed. It doesn't upset me because I have come to accept the reality of the situation. You aren't going to change it. And, you will only frustrate yourself trying.

oops. I only watched the last two innings and didnt really focus on the game as I was doing other things. I thought the score was the other way around. My mistake.

I figured that was you at nyyfans.

Yeah, that's me. I use ORS there, BaseballFever (I rarely go there though). Mainly I post here and Nyyfans. What's your handle at Nyyfans?

Col. Jacob Ruppert. I left a comment regarding your post on Lester's WHIP. I didnt know if it was you or not so I didnt say anything.

yeah a couple of weeks ago a poster named 38 special got banned for pretty much nothing. He really did a great job with the minor league forums.

Yeah, nyyfans requires a lot of time to keep track of what's going on in the Yankees ITL forum. I mainly stick to the General Baseball Forum. Besides, the attack dogs there run Sox fans out of the Yankee sections pretty quick. I don't like to rock the boat.

Ha yeah that was me. I forgot to check the thread, plus by now I'm sure its like 3 pages behind with this game going on. I'll find it anyway.

EDIT: Wow it is 110 pages behind. WOW

Yeah, they got into a big Rivera/Papelbon pissing match over a comment by a Sox fan saying it was nice to feel confident at the end of the game with the emergence of Papelbon. Some of the Yankee fans there are hyper-sensitive. Some of the Sox fans there don't know when to shut up. It's a decent board, but I like this one better.

haha yeah I saw that. From what I see they are very sensitive about any Rivera/Paplebon comparison. I have to say compared to how sox fans are treated over there I think Yankee fans have it better here. BTW I responded.

On the White Sox broadcast they said the rotation for next weekend will be RJ-Mussina-Wright. Any idea why Wang wont get a start here? I know you dont want to give Wright too much rest but I'd rather have Wang then Wright face the White Sox.

It might have something to do with trying to sandwich him between the two guys who are most likely to give you deep outings. Mussina, Wright, Wang, would protect the BP from having two straight days of 3-4 innings.

You nailed it. I forgot about that. Torre said awhile back that he would like to pitch Wang after Wright because he is an innings eater.

I definately have to agree. As much as I complain about the treatment here, i'd much rather be a Yankee fan at talksox than a Sox fan at nyyfans.

Villone a comeback player? Don't you had to have been good once to win a comebacl award?

Best catch should go to the play where Melky took out Damon for an inside the park homer.

Best Glove: Phillips? Pathetic

Just wondering if anyones noticed any strong tensions between Al Leiter and Michael Kay latley??

I heard a rumor about the cause of the tension.

Supposedly Kay is very upset because Leiter and he had been sexually involved, but Leiter wants Susan Waldman to join them in a three-way and Kay is hurt by this.

Apparently Leiter argued "it would be great to have 3 guys like you, me and Susan together for a roll in the hay" but Kay was taken back because he's got second-hand knowledge that Susan's dick is bigger than his so he feels threatened.
