    If you go to the two previous years, before Yoshi's injury, it was .750/.775. If you go to Sept, after Yoshi was recovered, he had .837. I expect Suarez to be a better offensive player, but I wouldn't expect a material difference.

    Assuming we trade Duran (or Abreu), I see it as 10 games each for Anthony, Ceddanne, and Abreu, 15 games subbing Mayer, and it could be 50 games platooning Yoshi. I don't think Yoshi needs a lot of platooning, but Andujar has roughed up lefties recently.

    Neither are good enough. I'd pass on Rengifo completely. But Andujar could be interesting if we trade Duran. He could platoon with Yoshi, and back up LF and 3B (poorly). And we've traditionally done well with rightly ex-Yankee OF..

    I'm an agnostic on Devers. But this is the same as in the political world. People on both sides dig their heels in, and will never ever change their minds.

    This is a problem for some of the fans. We don't know the RS l/t plans. If the FO thinks Romy can take the next step, or that they think KC will be our 2B next year, then it is what it is.

    Brilliant can't be used for low-level trades. If this is a prelude to adding talent and staying under the 3rd cap, then I like it. Otherwise, it doesn't do anything for me.

    His age, plus 79 Ks in 201 ABs, on a team which already has some strikeout and K/W issues. I'd have signed him for $15M, but there are better alternatives.

    .238 BABIP in 2024, with a .291 in 2025. His minor league splits look 'okay'. I find split problems usually reveal themselves in the minors. It could still be an issue, but not a definite.

    You said we wouldn't add anyone. I challenged and you folded. Then you added a laughable .820. Make it nice and simple. I'm betting we acquire someone that either had a 2+ WAR last year, or projects to have a 2+ WAR this year.

    Over than past three years, at a minimum of 1500 PAs, that means we can only obtain Marte, Ramirez or Riley. Come up with a serious wager or stop wasting your time.

    Like a lot of folks said, virtually every player has a number. If Hicks was a FA, he'd automatically get a $2-3M+ contract.

    It's not an interesting theme. We've been spending, we hope to spend more, and I'd bet that we do spend more. But the only person that posts 5x a day that we won't spend, won't accept the wager.
