  1. 2024 has the potential to be the best group of prospects since the 2013 group!!! and you forgot to add Montgomery to the list. I think he is going to have a great season in 2025. Off season to do list 1.) trade yoshida and cash to Arizona for Montgomery 2.) sign fried 3.) trade for Bryce miller or Braxton Ashcroft. 4.) sign 2 quality bullpen arms. (One lefty) 5.) with a backup catcher this is a 90 win team if we do this.
  2. Because huge spends on free agents is not a sustainable model. add in injuries and the model is completely broken. Giolito, Whitlock and story’s injuries were devastating in 2024. big free agent spends is yesterday’s model. I see us taking the internal pipeline with a few moderate free agent signings as our path to a sustainable model
  3. If bres-slow goes hard after crochet and he leaks it to the press, is that enough to get Seattle or Pittsburgh interested in trading young starting pitching for some of our really talented hitting prospects????
  4. I think our days of being a big spender are over. The farm system will continue to churn out 2 - 3 prospects per year and only the absolute best will get the QO. we are the waiver wire kings for now on
  5. I think we played worse after the all star break because our starters were not going deep enough into games and between injuries and a lack of depth, we burned up our bullpen arms. plus offensively, our youngsters crashed into the wall good days are ahead of we get 2 quality starters and 2 quality relievers.
  6. No no no!! We have add a lot more to the trade, but I think it is doable if we find the right pieces
  7. I think bres-slow builds bullpen depth by young unproven guys with high upside
  8. We can pay the rest to send him to San Francisco I really think birdsong might look good in a Red Sox uniform
  9. I am going to believe bres-slow when he says he is going to as aggressive as the budget allows. I expect him to add 1 established starting pitcher and a couple high upside unproven bullpen guys
  10. In today’s game, depth is more important than ever. Our pitching staff was not nearly deep enough in 2024 and our pitchers ran out of gas in the second half. the fitts, weissert, Guerrero, and so many others should be depth pieces! it is bres-slow’s job to improve the bullpen so these guys are depth pieces
  11. trade partner #3 Pittsburgh pirates the pirates offense if terrible. They have three great young pitchers on their roster and 2 more in the minors. we already did a trade with Pittsburgh for a high upside pitcher I think we can move abreau and cassas and get one of the 3 young pitchers (not named skenes) off Pittsburgh’s roster!
  12. Yoshida and a bag of cash to Arizona for Jordan Montgomery! Arizona owner wants Montgomery gone and we want yoshida moved
  13. I did not know 1978 ford pintos came with air bags???
  14. Maybe bres-slow can work a miracle deal! The giants or Mariners are the best options
  15. Is there any real correlation here??? I mean whoever caught Houck early in the year caught him when he was fresh got a huge advantage over those who caught him in the second half when he had a dead arm
  16. Because he looks good on base in a giants uniform
  17. Bres-slow is going to select someone from the rule 5 draft and give them a chance to win a spot in the bullpen.
  18. I suspect bres-slow will be looking for younger cheaper arms with more upside
  19. The crazy thing is that winkleman has amazing stuff in the system!!! But no command and control whatsoever!!!!
  20. Monegro is hard to figure! I watch him and I see a guy with stuff that should have him throwing batting practice, but then he gets in the game and somehow he just gets batters out!!!! I have no idea how he does it!!!
  21. Oddly enough, the best defensive shortstop in the system is not a draft pick, but instead it is arias
  22. We are losing 4 relievers in free agency so we need to add as much depth as possible to the bullpen
  23. Step 1 - we have to trade yoshida. Step 2 - we sign fried. Step 3 - we use whatever combination of players and prospects (excluding Anthony Campbell and teel) necessary to help Seattle improve their offense so we can pry Bryce Miller out of their control. Step 4 - open competition at all four infield positions among all infield players not included in trades with the goal of fielding the best hitting and fielding team possible.
