  1. Meidroth is an on base machine and table setter. The ideal number 2 hitter behind Duran. defensively, he is an improvement over devers at 3B. I am not saying he is a panacea to our hitting lineup, I am saying he improves our team in 2025 by less errors in the field. Less strikeouts and higher on base percentage. And I think he chips in 15 stolen bases a year.
  2. Are you saying a farm system that is very heavily left handed hitting and utterly bereft of any pitching is a good thing???
  3. it would be huge if Bailey can help Guerrero find the strike zone. Kids stuff is above average for sure
  4. We are top 5 in 2024 in errors. Are infield leaks more than the titanic ever did we are top 5 in strikeouts. A large number of strike outs leave town with O’Neil, and a large number of strike outs are tied to youngsters seeing pitches for the first time. we struggle to hit left handed pitching top 3 deficiencies to fix among position players 1.) cut down on errors. Need new personnel on the infield for this to happen. Defensive dumpster fires across the infield. 2.) get a bit more right handed bats in the lineup, (thank you hang’em Chaim) Campbell and meidroth come to mind. These two guys also fix number 1. Move the left handed excess to other teams where it makes sense for both teams. Start with yoshida to any west coast team, 3.) cut down on strikeouts. See Meidroth.
  5. Campbell is the right handed bat to replace big wind O’Neil!
  6. How many guys on this list graduate in 2025?
  7. He should be our starting 2bd baseman next year. His swing is funky but he makes it work.
  8. If ownership set the 2025 budget at 195 million, we still have a decent amount of room to sign and trade for a quality starters. I know bres-slow said he planned on being aggressive this offseason, but does mean pitching??? hang’em Chaim has absolutely stocked our team with left handed hitters, hard to see bres-slow augmenting there. so that leaves pitching and right handed hitters for bres-slow to be aggressive with this offseason
  9. Should the big 4 go to the Arizona fall league???
  10. I like how ragan’s of the royals a lot. But would they do it???
  11. Yes. I think he develops into an amazing player in two years
  12. I value Anthony highly, but the only way Seattle is trading Miller and woo for Anthony is if they know both pitchers have damage to their arms.
  13. I do think Soto is a fantastic talent, but signing him wrecks the goals set forth by management. I am all for trading anybody on our current roster, except devers and rafeala for pitching
  14. I was thinking about for 2025!
  15. I would say no to both of those.
  16. Only 1 team in the playoffs this year. But I feel much better about our farm team than I did in April
  17. Anthony, teel, Campbell and Montgomery would be the 4 that I do not trade under any circumstance. I think we have to be honest about how successful castillo can be pitching in Fenway
  18. Anthony also stole another base. Kid is on fire
  19. Roster construction is a huge consideration. I am very intrigued by what bres-slow does with a large group of redundant position places to help us fill huge holes in the rotation and bullpen!! I see second base as a battle between Campbell and Grissom. Personally , I think Campbell is better defensively. I guess I am higher on Meidroth than most others. I think he is best at third base.
  20. Two things: 1.) first, I think only miller profiles as successful in Fenway. 2.) I think bres-slow values years of control
  21. The fat lady may be warming up to sing, but I feel better about the Red Sox future today than I did this time last year we are literally two starting pitchers and two relievers away from the playoffs
  22. Just say no to Castillo. if we are doing a deal with Seattle, the only Seattle pitcher that I think works in Fenway is Bryce Miller. I do not think we waste time talking about the other pitchers! except for Anthony, Campbell, teel and Montgomery, every other position prospect needs to be on the trade list along with every position player in Boston not named devers or rafeala
  23. Mayer and teel both need more time before they are ready. The guy that is 100 percent ready is meidroth, but meidroth is never going to be a 20 home run guy. Anthony campbell meidroth fitts Guerrero penrod potentially 6 rookies on the roster for 2025 opening day
  24. I agree! I think he has another year in the tank. But he will probably only sign with us if we are contenders in 2025!
  25. Anthony was 1 for 1 with 4 walks tonight. They are pitching around a 20 year old in triple A!!!! I hope he and Campbell start next season in Boston!!!
