    It is all dominoes. Our infield defense has dumpster fires at 1st, 2nd and 3rd. (The dumpster fire at 3rd base is the wurst in baseball) why would a free agent pitcher want to come here, with an infield more leaky than the titanic? (Post iceberg) to fix the leaky infield, we need a place to relocate devers or cassas occasionally! that place is DH So in summary: domino 1 - trade yoshuda. domino 2 - tell free agent pitchers we will split DH at bats between cassas and devers. domino 3 - tell free agent pitchers that Campbell should win the 2nd base job. domino 4 - sign Carson Kelly to be back up catcher. (Above average defensive catcher) domino 5 - sign fried!

    Two quality bullpen arms would enhance our bullpen tremendously. but one has to be a lefty and the other a righty Helsey would be a great addition from the right side.

    Very excited to see the battle for second base between Campbell, grissom, Hamilton and romy the 40 man roster could get pinched from incoming free agents and minor league promotions. maybe trading 4 from the 40 man roster for crochet would be preferable to cutting guys

    I would never want him to be passive. But get to the point where he identifies the spin on the ball and does not swing at balls so far outside the strike zone

    Do you judge him based on playing hurt this year? I think he can hit very well and he has 20 home run power potential

    I watched ingrassia pitch and I was impressed with the stuff! I really hope he develops into the quality you mention above!

    The first year, he tried to play through an injury and his numbers plummeted. since then, we have treated him with kid gloves!

    I believe the pieces exist for a trade to St. Louis. it is up to bres-slow to figure it out

    This signing will tell me if management is truly serious about being competitive next season.

    There is no perfect fit for yoshida, but it is bres-slow’s job to figure out how to move him along and free up that roster spot!

    Mayer’s defense is major league ready now. at Portland, Mayer was a better hitter than Anthony. the only thing Mayer needs to prove to me in the minor leagues is that he can play a full season. other than that, he is fully capable of playing shortstop in Boston in 5 months, if story gets injured getting out of bed in spring training

    1.) ownership in Arizona wants out of the Montgomery deal. This is a good solution for them. 2.) Arenado is owed 41mm in deferred money on top of his contract. I think this deal makes sense for St. Louis.

    I only see two landing spots for yoshida that make sense. 1.) to Arizona for Montgomery 2.) to St. Louis for Arenado

    Correct, but these 3 are very very close to being major league contributors! With a solid spring training Campbell and Anthony have an excellent chance to start the season in Boston! Mayer has to prove he can stay healthy, but had the highest ceiling of all the position players, including devers, on our roster!

    The white Sox are going to want a king’s ransom for crochet. That means one of the big four plus all the usual suspects mentioned above!

    I think with the free agents, it takes one signing to put us in the spotlight! I think fried is that signing that makes us attractive to other free agents.
