  1. He is perfect for Seattle. Iszuki light!!!
  2. I make no claims to the value of the product received by the other teams!!! Haha
  3. Wow!!! Best three way trade ever!! I would do this tomorrow if I could.
  4. Defensively this year, I think the outfield of O’Neil, rafeala, Duran, refsynder, and abreau has been average to maybe decent! Catching is a below average. Wong is a dumpster fire, but Reese and Jansen are decent! the big problem is the infield! The infield is a dumpster fire! 3B - devers is a dumpster fire! ss - everybody not named story had been a dumpster fire. (Rafeala probably is below average at best). 2B - total raging dumpster fire!!!!. 1B - cassas and the others are all below average at best!
  5. 6.) perales - 2nd best stuff in the system (winkleman) how does he respond to surgery? Should be a mid rotation starter by 2026. 12.) fitts - a tale of two pitchers. When the velocity is up, mid rotation starter! When the velocity is down, batting practice pitcher 14.) Sandlin - mediocre stuff with a propensity to throw meatballs. 15.) tolle - mediocre stuff at TCU. 17.)monegro - mediocre stuff but plays up when command and control is good. 18.) dobbins - decent to good stuff. Not sure why he gets no love. 19.) ERC - mediocre stuff. 20.) valera - 3rd best stuff in the system. 21.) cason - unknown. TBD 22.) Guerrero - really good stuff. Command and control is seriously lacking
  6. I think Roman and Campbell start the year in Boston. By mid season 2025, I think the new big 4 will be teel, Mayer, Montgomery and arias! with cespedes pushing hard
  7. Penrod called up to Boston!
  8. Fitts was very successful tonight
  9. One of the Boston baseball writers published that the budget was 200 million.
  10. I agree 100 percent. He has skills to be adequate at multiple positions
  11. One of the writers I trust said the budget was 200 million. I have no idea if he is right, but it makes sense
  12. I watched him and laviolette a lot at Texas a&m in 2024. Montgomery has a cannon. In Fenway, first to third on a ball hit to right field becomes dangerous, like when we had Renfro
  13. I would not play Campbell at short unless forced to! Second base or outfield or dh is perfect for him. Assuming we trade Cassas, he would be perfect between devers and story/mayer
  14. I think a lot of money comes off the books and we can splurge on one free agent pitcher and some relievers and still get under the 200 million budget!!
  15. Agreed! I hope we sign fried, and trade for quality young starter. then sign two quality relievers. A lefty and a righty. (I realize that relievers reliability is inconsistent year to year.)
  16. Coming into this season, I did not expect much from Romero, but he played really well once he got on the field. I hope he stays healthy and continues the solid hitting and solid defense
  17. Congrats to Roman! Amazing talent! I hope Mayer takes his place when we bring Roman and Campbell to Boston in April 2025!
  18. Maybe you are right. The five years of control is valuable! And he hits right handed pitching ok.
  19. Seems like winning seems to follow Anthony where ever he plays in 2024! hope anthony starts in right field in 2025 snd stays there, at least until Montgomery claims it!!!!!!
  20. he makes a lot of sense as a secondary piece in a major trade. as a stand alone trade piece, maybe we get an average middle innings bullpen arm
  21. I absolutely love this plan!!! I am a huge miller fan! This is the kind of bold move that would get us to the playoffs in 2025! I think yoshida with that swing has a fantastic season at the plate in Seattle
  22. 1.) minimal payment may not get it done, but a west coast team is perfect for yoshida! 2.) should be plenty of glove first veteran catchers available on a one year deal. 3.) fried would be an excellent free agent addition, if the medicals check out. 4.) I think we have to sign two relievers, a lefty and a righty. 5.) we have the assets to trade for miller in Seattle. It will be painful but cassas, plus plus plus should make for a blockbuster trade!
  23. I think next season, Montgomery flies through our minor league system. I am a little concerned about the strike out rate, but the power, defense and arm are legit!! after the big 4, to have Montgomery, arias, cespedes and Garcia! That is an amazing second wave!
