  1. I saw Montgomery pitch twice in 2024. he looked to me like he had dead arm for the whole year. Nothing was as sharp as in the 2023 playoffs. Nothing broke with any sharpness. Does that mean he comes back strong in 2025 or does that mean he has started his decline ???? Fortunately Bres-slow and Bailey are better equipped than us to figure that out!!!! Would Arizona be interested in taking yoshida off our hands???? Maybe bres-slow can figure something out ????
  2. I would sign fried in a heart beat this offseason . But I would try to keep it to a 4 year deal.
  3. I agree 100 percent. our 4 priorities should be 1.) to improve the starting pitching 2.) improve the bullpen and the depth of the bullpen. 3.) improve the defense and 4.) reduce strikeouts. I think we only move Duran if we accomplish the first goal! i think Bryce miller projects really well in Fenway, but we have many other major league players and prospects to offer before we should part with Duran! Including abreau, cassas. Wong, yoshida and about a dozen middle infielders
  4. Offseason to do list! 1.) improve starting pitching 2.) improve bullpen and depth of bullpen, 3.) improve infield defense 4.) cut down on the massive strikeouts
  5. And how many guys currently on our 40 man roster are dead weight??
  6. Bres-slow should sign fried first and foremost, then call Seattle about Bryce miller and the brewers about Devin Williams
  7. I think this year’s rule 5 draft will have some reliever’s that bres-slow will be creative in going after
  8. We get somebody to take yoshida and gioletta off our hands and we sign fried and trade for Bryce miller, then we are back in the playoffs in 2025!
  9. Is it really the coaches fault that we had so many injuries and that devers, Valdez, and cassas were already defensive dumpster fires before he stepped foot in the door. I thought he did a good job of putting lipstick on the pig!!!!!
  10. Hang’em Chaim got the dodgers to take price off our hands when he moved betts along. Moving yoshida is finding the right team and the right motivation! if hang’em Chaim, especially with his trade record, could close the betts-price trade, I think bres-slow can figure out how to move yoshida.
  11. We have the pieces to beat anything Baltimore offers Seattle, if the correct pitcher is coming to us.
  12. You only unload our young quality position players if we get young cost controlled pitching. Seattle and Pittsburgh have young cost controlled pitchers that can help us

  14. Didn’t you say the same thing about Chris frail??? Maybe he survives better as a DH.
  15. The 2025 outfield should be LF - Duran CF - Rafeala RF - Anthony reserve - refsynder Yoshida and abreau are trading chips.
  16. You put trout at DH and you get veteran leadership for all our youngsters and he and devers are a very deadly lefty- righty combo in the middle of your lineup! Devers will see more fastballs than he has seen in years and his numbers will explode This is the righty bat that makes our lineup dangerous
  17. I would do trout plus some cash for yoshida and gioletta!
  18. He apparently had had a bad shoulder and thumb. Those would affect his swing
  19. I think the scouts over estimated yoshida’s fielding ability. I think we need to pay 40-50mm of the contract if we hope to move yoshida. we will get a prospect ranked 20-30 in a team’s list, but in rookie ball or low A! the important thing is to move yoshida out of town and open up the DH spot
  20. Excellent point and we have replacement talent in the funnel now
  21. The only way to find out is to contact him, but St. Louis has very little pitching in the pipeline and the quality arms they do have, I am sure any GM would want a king’s ransom for.
  22. you are correct sir, the gioletta signing was completely bizarre. It did not fit any organizational philosophy (either budget reduction or development path) and in hindsight turned out to be exactly why we should avoid signing veteran retreads. I truly thought our organizational philosophy was built on purposefully ignoring the veteran retreads and focusing on young and inexperienced pitching with huge upside. That we could develop and integrate into our lineup, the gioletta signing was a complete aberration of our pitching philosophy and cost us tremendously in 2024!
