A Realistic View at the 2027 Red Sox Part I
Larry Cook replied to moonslav59's topic in Boston Red Sox Talk
Gray’s strikeouts per 9 innings dropped below 8 this year: his fip was 3.47 which means the defense bailed him out a good bit this year! not sure that bres-slow sees value in a short pitcher with those type numbers!!! I would love to have gray back, but we have a data driven management team that sees things differently! I think Tolle and Bennett have dead arm next season due to the massive innings spike they experienced in 2026. (See crochet and Crawford for examples) a rotation of : 1.) crochet 2.) suarez 3.) Houck 4.) bello 5.) Oviedo Depth: paez and Crawford! For 2027 is scary!!! therefore; we need another starter. ps: need to go balls out to sign moorjon, best stuff of the relievers available -
In my opinion, our top 3 prospects are: 1.) Franklin A 2.) Franklin P 3.) delzine none of them were drafted, but I would put our top 3 against any top 3 from any other team!!

I think Brannon kept getting dinged up at catcher and they moved him to 1st to keep his bat in the lineup!
-
Another incredible game. Who would have ever thought Duran world be the guy!!!! olds and gamboa in the 11th and we still get the win
-
Whatever happened in the navarez/mayer/anthony situation off the field, I am very glad bres-slow cleaned it up quickly!! Pitching, defense and timely hitting is a formula that can win a World Series for us!!!
-
Sometimes the mark of a good pitcher is when he does not have his best stuff but still gives you innings and a chance to win!!!!!
-
Is ranger pitching with an injured hamstring ??? He does not look well out there
-
Primera with a tater, 2 doubles, hit by a pitch and 7 rbi!!! And he threw out an attempted base stealer. gonzales with 2 hits in his Portland debut!!! roman Anthony with a tater in his double A debut, Phillips left his game with an apparent injury,

Andujar is not ranked highly, but he has a nice swing and a bit of pop, he has a chance to develop into something! under the radar now, but he has a chance to be special.
-
Anthony starting to hit!! Best news on the injury front
-
That could be the craziest and most incredible game I have seen this season!!!! Wow!!!
-
Is he trying to break the chris sale injury records ?
-
Primera hit 3 times by pitchers last night

Question of the week: Grade the trade deadline
Larry Cook replied to Brock Beauchamp's topic in Boston Red Sox Talk
Bres-slow’s best trade deadline to date although he did previously set the bar pretty low -
Sounds like Anthony is starting to swing the bat!
-
That was a good win tonight. Pitching was outstanding
-
That was an incredible three game sweep! congrats to the players, coaches and front office: I think we are finally eliminating the naysayers
-
Did anybody think this could happen based on how we were playing in May????
-
Mize is the best rental on the block now that skubal is a dodger. but, all the teams that missed out on skubal are now calling Detroit. griffin does not seem like a guy we would be interested in. And then there is Holmes! Holmes is injured so you know bres-slow is very interested!!! let’s pray someone beats bres-slow is the cell phone and gets Holmes before we give the trade arias for him

A Realistic Look at the 2026 Red Sox: Part I
Larry Cook replied to moonslav59's topic in Boston Red Sox Talk
How sad is it that you can give up 3 studs from your farm and still have a great farm system, but now you have Skubal too -
That was an exciting pitchers duel
-
Win or lose, Tolle pitched his heart out tonight
-
Kansas City says we called about witt and we were shut down immediately!!!!?
-
I think our top two draft picks are reporting to Greenville soon! godbout on rehab went 1-3 at Salem last night, Salem was a hard team to watch at the beginning of the year, but now with angular and primera and delzeina, they are kind of fun again.
