    I feel Mayer’s swing will transition the best to the major leagues immediately, but eventually Anthony will have an incredible and more productive career as a hitter. The competition for starting second baseman will be fierce next season. I hope Campbell wins it outright.

    Byrnes second half of 2024 was nothing to write home about!!!!

    His defense is not bad now. It at 6’3” tall, he is better at third base once arias gets here! his bat is the real deal! Anthony hit .269 at Portland. Mayer hit .307! Granted Mayer is a year older and breaks down more than a 1978 ford pinto! But like the pinto, Mayer can catch fire too. (With the bat)

    I agree with Randy that the budget is set at slightly under 200 mm for 2025! I think bres-slow goes hard after fried and then back to dumpster diving or trades to fill in the holes! the key is dancing with Arizona for a Montgomery-yoshida swap!

    It sounds like bres-slow is really pushing hard to sign fried. Maybe ownership is giving him extra budget for this signing

    I am very excited about the second group of 4 prospects. Montgomery, Airas, cespedes and Garcia they all have a chance to be major contributors at the major league level

    I am seeing more action of a crochet trade on the Phillies and dodgers site than anywhere else! Still looks like we are heavily involved in signing fried. Will bres-slow go 6-7 years???

    Atlanta is looking for veteran shortstop. Maybe we can send them story for a reliever and one of those two prospect starters that struggled this year????? Atlanta gets to eat all of story’s contract.

    The Yankees package was not very enticing. They have to add a major league or near major league caliber pitcher or two to their package

    Staying competitive without pitching during the rebuild was too much for hang’em Chaim. bres-slow did better until the post all star game collapse
