    I think Castro is capable of a huge season! But not sure if he has it in him this year!! I am curious if ward keeps hitting. He is pure chaos in the base pads Campbell is the wild card here!! I think he still has work to do on his swing, but if he figures it out, he could be back in Boston at some point.

    If Mayer can stay healthy, he will be a perennial all star for us. Hit, defense and some power. He is built for success at Fenway!!!! I know everybody is going to focus on the previous proliferation of injuries, and that is why I say “if Mayer can stay healthy”

    Kind of odd that we only played Eaton in the outfield!! Overall, I like our hitters for 2026, but story does not look right at the plate! Not sure if he is changing things up or is this a drive time thing????

    Oviedo - when he has command and control, his stuff plays well. When he does not have command and control, he is a train wreck. so far this spring, he is 50-50 on the command and control! Problem is, that’s not good enough a ratio and he would not transition well into the bullpen. he could be a long term Fenway flu candidate

    note to other mlb teams: If your team plays in a dome stadium, why aren’t you calling us up and trying to trade for yoshida?????

    Impossible to answer without more detailed data, but the question is moot unless story plays for the dodgers!!

    Last year I thought 87 wins. this year I am thinking 91 wins. crochet - 15 suarez - 12 gray - 8 bello - 14 Oviedo - 5 Cutter - 4 early - 5 tolle - 5 Whitlock - 4 chapman - 4 weisset - 3 slaten - 3 others combined - 8

    Maybe he should have accepted the Q.O. and saved himself a lot of drama!!!

    It is so painful to see story in the lineup in the top 4!

    If I had to guess 1 pitcher that is not on the 40 man roster that will see time in Boston this year, I would guess Mullins. if his control improves, he could be another option if our pitching staff is ravaged by injuries again this year.

    I finally got to see mayer’s arm in action at the ballpark for a few days. what shocked me was that the arm strength on the throws was ok, but not nearly as strong as I was led to believe from the writers!! (Maybe injuries are a part of it) the 3B for Toronto, barger and Henderson of Baltimore have much stronger arms than Mayer!! Barger throws bullets!!!

    I saw an interview where the Baltimore gm was good with his rotation. I guess, the reporters helped him to see reality

    Shouldn’t we wait to see who is healthy and who is not, before thinking about our 2026 record???

    Now that training camp has begun. I think bres-slow needs a huge round of applause!! - he got us a quality number 2 starter! - he got us a quality number 3 starter! - he got us a number 5 starter. - he kept Tolle, early and Witherspoon. - he revamped the leakiest infield in the majors. I know people will complain about Bregman and the lack of power!! but outside of a lefty or two for the bullpen, I feel very confident in the outstanding offseason he had!!!

    Arizona asked for Mayer and early and bres-slow said no thanks! best no trade of the off season

    Looks like romy has a bad shoulder and may need DL time.
