  1. a few points: 1.) I have watched Witherspoon pitch several times, including tonight. Tonight he hit two batters and had a wild pitch. Little command or control again!! the stuff is above average, but not great. And definitely not tight!!! if Witherspoon was drafted in the 8th round instead of the 1st round, I doubt he is on this list. I am not saying he is a bust, but I am wondering why a guy that throws less strikes than ray Charles would, is listed in the top 10??? 2.) winnay and m white are both in Portland and they both have shown some home run ability and slightly better than average at bats!! Yet 2 draft picks beat them out for the list?? I guess the shiny new toys get all the love!!!! 3.) Arias’s numbers at AA Portland are better than either made or de vries AA numbers!!!! I think arias absolutely deserves to be number one on the Red Sox prospect list, but he should also be in the top 2-3 on everybody’s top prospects in all of baseball list. (Yes I am a homer !!!!!) just so you know, the kid can hit! Has some pop! Decent arm!!! Ok runner!!! And man, can he play defense!!!!!
  2. The clock is getting close to striking midnight on Chapman.
  3. Really?? Who else do you think is trade bait for the next 2 weeks?
  4. If crochet is healthy, and we can roll out crochet, Suarez and gray in a 3 game series, then I like our chances a lot!!!
  5. Is Mayer really on the trading block???
  6. Gray looked good today, he has the ability to grind through starts even when he does not have his best stuff!!!
  7. I think the Sox said Suarez will be returning soon! Houck is throwing off the mound. Maybe he returns in September, most likely 2027. crochet is doing rotator cuff exercises and not allowed to throw! Very hard to see him returning this year! early has inflammation of the UCL and is not throwing yet! It does not sound like any damage was found!!! No real update provided on him crawford is going on 2 years on the injured list. Not throwing yet so no idea when he can return
  8. And Bennett making up for Campbell???
  9. Which prospects would bres-slow be willing to trade for middling bullpen help ???? outside of arias and evayson is there anybody that you would really regret losing???
  10. I saw a lot of schaffner and hull this past season because of unc having a deep World Series run Schaffner is probably a future second baseman, if, he can hit velocity!!! Everything else about this kid screams future major leaguer. He reminds me of godbout minus the broken hand. hull is probably a future left fielder, if, he learns to pick up the spin on pitches. He reminds me of a more selective castro!!
  11. Looks to me like throwing the secondaries for strikes is a problem and witherspoon is behind in the count with every batter and opposing batters are sitting on the fastball!!! and the pitchers from Tennessee is even worse at throwing strikes because not even the fastball gets over the plate consistently
  12. Azocar, andujar Primera and Gonzales are all very young and have nice swings and decent at bats!!! If they can identify spin better, we may have something with them,
  13. Been watching winnay a lot this year. at Greenville, he was taking a ton of walks because high A pitching was not the great. Anything over the plate and he was going for the home run exclusively it seemed!!!!! in Portland, he knows he is getting good pitches to hit and walking a lot less. His new strategy has changed and he appears to be more contact based and driving the ball based on how he is being pitched and not necessarily trying to go yard every time!! is this because of the Portland hitting coach??? I got to tell you , I like this version of winnay a lot better.
  14. I got no problem moving Mayer, for the right price I think Duran is clearly not going anywhere
  15. Any trade with Seattle has to be for some of their incredible prospects. Why not wait for Seattle to DFA refsynder
  16. I am hearing Atlanta needs a shortstop and a starting pitcher. we have Mayer and gray! Maybe bres-slow can put together a block buster
  17. In the 2025 draft, 3 early selections for us were SEC pitchers. do we continue that model in 2026? what if flukey from coastal Carolina falls to us at 20?? bres-slow does not have tobini in the room this year! How does that dynamic play out???
  18. So houck goes from 106 in 2023 to 179 in 2024. And how does houck look in 2025? Crawford goes from 129 in 2023 to 184 in 2024. And how does Crawford look in 2025? crochet goes from 146 in 2024 to 205 in 2025. And how does crochet look in 2026??? Appears to me they are about to do the same thing to Tolle
  19. Tolle’s high in innings pitched is 91, I think! He is already at about 80! Something has to give soon. (See houck, Crawford and crochet for examples of pitchers that far exceed their max innings in year 1 and then crashing and burning in year 2)
  20. Better hope siegler does not stub his toe, bres-slow will put him on the 60 day disabled list
  21. It seems like the entire Boston organization (majors and minors) really struggled through April and May. eyanson and arias are two of the few that have performed all year thus far!
  22. That was a nice win. The pitching has been pretty good these past 10 days!!
