    Quality and depth???? Let’s take a closer look: 1.) crochet - quality. 2.) gray - quality 3.) bello - quality 4.) Oviedo - depth. 5.) Sandoval - depth. 6.) Cutter - depth. 7.) early - depth at best until proven otherwise. 8.) Tolle - depth at best until proven otherwise, 9.) Harrison - depth at best until proven otherwise. our rotation is woefully short on quality, decent depth and some unproven depth! gaping huge hole after crochet! Biggest area of need !!!

    Maybe he starts the year in the 60 day DL! His recovery did not seem to be progressing last season.

    Premium - anthony, Mayer, abreau, refaela, Duran quality and could be more with a decent backup - narveaz, could be quality but more at bats needed - Casas, Campbell very few teams can match this level of young position

    A couple of things: 1.) The outfielders would probably rotate through the dh spot. This keeps their bats in the lineup, but gives them a rest from position play. 2.) injuries happen, see 2025 for a refresher. There is more reason to believe someone will have a season ending or less serious injury than not. (Story 3 years! Casas 2 years! Less serious injuries and the list is much longer.) 3.) opposing lefty pitchers give a few of our outfielders serious issues. Options are never a bad thing, unless hang’em Chaim is signing recently dfa’d pitchers! 4.) defensive replacements. Do we really want to see Duran patrolling the outfield in the late innings of a close game? See game 3 of the Yankees playoff series for a refresher. this team has 1 minor hole in the infield and a Grand Canyon size hole at the number 2 spot in the rotation!

    We do not need to trade any outfielders.

    Early was a different circumstance. West Point goes to school 6 days a week and I think his arm was tired from military pt. but I am amazed what the Sox did with him in the pitching program. If we can do half as much with the 2025 draftees. It will have been a good draft for us!

    And he knew he could get both of them signed! The LSU kid is intriguing. His stuff does not look spectacular, but he gets hitters out and he has pitched in big games! not sure what we have in Witherspoon, but he has a lot of pitches in the toolbag!

    I am good with this! with Anthony, abreau and Duran rotating at the DH, maybe none of them had a lengthy stay on the DL! I think arenado has a bit of a rejuvenated career stats wise if he is here with us! And the defense is still decent.

    Something involving arenado and yoshida can work if cash or prospects is used to offset the payroll difference

    It looks like bres-slow is asking a king’s ransom for Duran and teams are not willing to pay his price! fair enough if bres-slow wants to keep Duran for 2026! but that leaves yoshida as the odd man out! So maybe we cut a deal with hang’em Chaim! arenado for yoshida and hicks plus whatever cash is required to make the numbers neutral for both teams!!!

    Okamoto expected to sign with Pittsburgh! Mets still need an outfielder. Duran to the Mets for vientos and tong!!!!

    2026 post season. game 1 Cole for Yankees versus crochet! Sox go up 1 game to nil!! game 2 fried versus gray, ouch!! Series tied up game 3 schlitter versus bello?? Ouch! The Yankees advance. the hole is at number 2 in our rotation!!!

    Our line up is going to be fine, if we are healthy! the huge hole is a number 2 starting pitcher in the rotation! fix that hole and we are serious contenders in 2026!

    There is still a Grand Canyon size hole at the number 2 spot in the rotation! I believe Tolle needs time to tighten up the slider and change up. If he can do that, he will be answer at number 2, in 2027!

    The New York radio guys seem to think we are super close to signing Bregman to a long term deal! When they said we were signing bregman (a couple of weeks prior to the signing) last year, I did not believe it.

    I think we have a tentative deal with Bregman, but waiting to see if the cubs step up or not

    I think we offered 5 years and a 6th year guaranteed if he plays in a specified number of games throughout the contract

    Hard to imagine us signing either bichete or Bregman as bres-slow will not be crazy with the years

    I am going to Boston college in January on a speaking engagement and I plan on going by the Red Sox store and spending a fortune there! Should be enough for the red Sox to afford to sign a free agent
