  1. Barring any unknown injuries (aka cutter from last season) this team is already a 90 win team from the improvement in the rotation exceeding any and all losses throughout the entire roster. two things to consider: 1.) health, always a wild card and we have banana boy story at shortstop. And with 13 arms on the team, the law of averages says 2-3 have will miss significant time! 2.) Mayer, Anthony, narveaz and Wong should all see improvements on the 2025 numbers. 3.) rotation depth. Criswell, Fitts are gone. Early and Tolle will be ready at some point if anybody gets hurt. And cutter says he is healthy for the start of 2026!
  2. Drafting is a solution, four years down the road. He did nothing to address the present dumpster fire infield defense situation! we led the American League in errors how many years in a row? how many extra pitches did our pitchers throw because of infield ineptitude ??
  3. For all the great things hang’em Chaim did as far as minor league hitting drafting and development and hitting talent acquisition! It still boggles my mind that he did not place any value on defense or quality pitching. Instead he chose to claim every reclamation project that hit the waiver wire
  4. Kansas City would not part with ragans for Duran. the dodgers would not part with a package of pitching prospects plus included rushing for abreau. Arizona wanted Mayer and tolle for Marte and bres-slow would not do it!
  5. But looking on the plus side. We have so much more depth across the entire pitching staff at Boston, Worcester and even Portland than I can ever remember!! I tip my cap to the tremendous job bres-slow has done building this up!
  6. I think this is right. The reporters said teams called about Mayer, Abreau and Duran. Yet bres-slow did not move any of them.
  7. Is houck included in the several pitchers line? I think he should be included since he is not back in 2026!
  8. Peralta to the Mets for sproat and Williams. Wow!!!
  9. Paredes has negative 3 drs in 2025 I think. We have been moving the defensive dumpster fires out of town. is he really a fit for us?
  10. He is a great fit in yankee stadium. I am not sure who they were bidding against to drive up the price???
  11. Mets acquiring white Sox Luis Robert! Outfield problem fixed for the Mets
  12. We seem to get abused in salary dump trades, betts/price, sale and Devers. And also in deadline trades! but we seem do have more success in prospect trades
  13. Are the Mets going to steal bellinger from the Yankees? The Mets have a surplus of infielders already
  14. I believe narveaz play decreased in the second half for 2 reasons. First the knee injury that required surgery and kept him out of the wbc! second, over use because wong’s injuries rendered him obsolete and I believe he had wrist surgery this offseason! if Wong is healthy, I think he will hit better than Last season and can be used in rotation with narveaz to keep Narveaz fresh but the fact that we only have 2 catchers on the 40 man is a potential problem because injuries happen where we lack depth usually
  15. As of right now: Anthony - outfield - plays LHP and RHP - above average defense in LF and RF rafeala - outfield - plays LHP and RHP - gold glove center fielder. Abreu - outfield - plays RHP - gold glove right fielder duran - outfield - plays RHP and maybe LHP - decent centerfield and dumpster fire in left field Contreras - 1B (3rd catcher) - plays LHP and RHP - average defense Hamilton - 2B (backup SS and 3rd base) - plays RHP - below average defense Romy - 2B (backup 1B, 3B and SS) - plays LHP - below average to average defense. story - SS (backup 2B) - plays LHP and RHP - below average defense. mayer - 3B (backup 2B and SS) - plays RHP and maybe LHP - average to above average defense narveaz - catcher - plays LHP and RHP rafeala- above average defense Wong - catcher (backup 1B) plays LHP and RHP - average defense sogard - (backup everywhere except catcher) plays LHP and RHP - average defense yoshida - DH - plays RHP and maybe LHP - dumpster fire defender ( starts the year on the DL and moves to Worcester.) defense is improved versus last year. Offense is definitely less than last year, but could it closer with the development of Mayer, Anthony and narveaz
  16. We shall see if arias bat develops. He has a lot of rafeala in him! But a bit more selective. He will probably start the year at Portland and lead off. (I hope they let him run more this year too) but arias glove is light years ahead of story or Mayer or anybody else in the system above the Florida league as of today!! Dude is amazing at getting to balls story could only dream about reaching
  17. In a perfect world, Mayer would spend his career at 3b and work with the Sox to get a little more strength in the throwing arm!! I would hope arias is able to step in and take over short stop after story, that kid is the best defensive short stop we have in the system that I have seen play. I hope romy is working hard and ready to go come April, he has a huge opportunity in front of him if he can produce! I think the last non minor move of the off season is figuring out how to get Suarez on the 40 man roster! Do they send Jovani away? Do they make some sort of trade?
  18. I agree 100 percent. I like our roster as is for 2026!
  19. Seems to me the Mets are in the same position as Houston as well!
  20. One player has to leave the 40 man to accommodate Suarez! i personally love the Suarez signing. Better signing than any bat that was available
  21. So Houston trades 3 players to get back a player they traded to us??
  22. This is an incredible triple a staff right here! Best I can remember for Boston in a long time!! I applaud bres-slow on this
  23. I think it was reported that we signed 20 international free agents today! Let’s hope for a gem or two from this class!!!!
  24. The dodgers have tried to trade for abreau all offseason!! I applaud bres-slow for not trading any of our outfielders. with the Suarez signing, someone from our 40 man roster has to leave!! Goodbye Jovani??
