  1. Agreed. The biggest problem is the Grand Canyon sized hole at the number 2 spot in our rotation! and we should consider signing another lefty reliever. Although Harrison could be a lefty swing man
  2. I think that Cora uses at least 125 different lineups in 2026 and at the end of the year everybody contributes, but Anthony, Mayer and Duran carry this team to the playoffs!! And story, Contreras, yoshida, abreau and Wong have decent supporting numbers
  3. Wow! And still crochet beat fried last year in the playoffs
  4. I think the war you provide is how teams do against the whole league. And that is great for figuring who gets into the playoffs. but the playoffs are about individual matchups! Boston vs New York for example. I know Boston struggles against left handed pitching! If fried is pitching against any Boston pitcher (other than crochet). We lose that game, Rodon probably sucks against most teams, but he is left handed so he is probably going to have a solid to good game against us! I do expect shitlister to have regression against us once we see him again. And definitely come playoff time. If I am new York. I start Cole in game 1. Then let the lefties win the series in game 2 and 3!
  5. I have proof that crochet can beat fried in game 1! but can gray and bello beat cole and shitlister (or rodon)in game 2 and 3?? I seriously doubt it!
  6. We really do not have much control over what the enemy does! But if we had a true number 2 starter, I would feel very good about our World Series chances
  7. Remember narveaz played in a bad knee that needed surgery. His surgery is keeping him out of the wbc!! Plus that kid wore down because wong was also injured and needed surgery
  8. Who protects judge in their lineup??? How much air is Stanton wasting in their lineup
  9. Cohen seems to enjoy an almost comical pleasure in signing former Yankees!!!! Better he delights in signing former Yankees and not Red Sox!!
  10. I felt bello started slowly in 2025, but gained confidence as the season progressed! He may have run out of gas in September, but he grew a lot in 2025! That said with bello, you want to believe he can take the next step forward and become a solid number 2 in the rotation, but reality says he is a slightly better than .500 pitcher, who is a did number 4 maybe number 3 starter through his prime years which is why the development of Tolle and early is so important in 2026!!!
  11. You think he is stopping with just Soto??
  12. Being on a 1 year deal, he had incentive to excel!! if early and/or Tolle step forward big time, gray could also be tremendous trade bait for prospects come July for some nl contender
  13. I can live with this lineup! We may be susceptible to superior left handed pitching, and injuries but I like our position players. I really think Anthony and Mayer take a huge step forward! I think Duran bounces back toward 2024 levels a bit also. And I hope Cora lets Duran run wild on the bases this year!! Duran creating havoc on the base paths should allow other hitters to see more fastballs
  14. I think the lefty who might have the ability to maybe fit with the strikeout numbers bres-slow prefers in Dominguez! But I think a lot of teams are keeping an eye on him!
  15. I doubt anybody is out bidding cohen (or perhaps maybe the dodgers) on skubal next November!!
  16. Dude, not signing Bregman is not the end of the world! I applaud bres-slow for having the discipline to not give out long term contracts to guys over 30! I like our lineup and hope bres-slow does not trade any of our outfielders or early or Tolle!
  17. 70 million of Bergman’s 175 million is deferred. Wow!!! The cubs went all in that’s for sure We still need a left handed reliever !!!!
  18. Donovan bats lefty, I think we need a right handed bat! I was hoping that maybe now, bres-slow could focus on a number 2 starter for our rotation. But none of sufficient quality to claim that role appear to be available now! I think we need another lefty reliever and bres-slow should be able to sign one!
  19. I think grey is a fine number 3 in our rotation. the “hole” is that our rotation does not have a number 2 starter. Someone that can take the ball in game 2 of a playoff series and have a reasonable expectation that he can outduel whoever Toronto, the Yankees. Cleveland, detriot or Seattle is pitching against us! does anybody think grey can go toe to toe against fried?? I don’t!!
  20. Witherspoon has not thrown a pitch in pro ball yet! Not all 1st round draft picks that did well in college, become average or better pros! I think Romero has a chance to be the next average or better position player in our system.
  21. He starts the year on the DL or DFA or traded!
  22. The “good ball player” hole on our team is a number 2 starting pitcher! another left handed relief pitcher would also be greatly appreciated.
  23. 1.) anthony 2.) Bregman 3.) Duran 4.) Contreras 5.) abreau 6.) story 7.) mayer 8.) narveaz 9.) rafeala bench - Hamilton, Eaton, sogard, Wong Cassas starts the year on the DL.
