    I’m not even counting on Mayer as a good plan B until he can stay healthy, so you might be right about two infielders if they don’t go from within.

    I’m fine with keeping Duran, but you still got a log jam in the OF with Masa still on the team.

    I think Bregman is still plan A, but who knows after that. Mayer is the fallback at 2B-3B if nothing else comes together.

    Seems like Donavan is drawing more interest every day with Seattle, and San Fran. The report is Seattle is willing to include top pitching suspect.

    I don’t know if I ever suggested a trade period. I have suggested signing FA like Jansen, who the Red Sox signed a year later, and I said I would have signed Alonso before the signings started taking place, but I’m not into the suggested trade business. I did suggest trading Duran last offseason when his value was highest, but no specific trade.

    While it’s true it started when I first come on here when I said I wouldn’t have hired Cora back, because of the cheating scandal, and MOOn analyzed wrong, and called me a hater, and yes he did apologize, but still continues to not only over analyze, but continues to get most analysis wrong.

    What fun would that be to suggest trades that actually happens when it’s so much easier to play make believe, which never happens. PRICELESS!🙈

    All the other teams, and that’s why they never happen despite what BTV accepts. Try the hat, because most likely you may get one that actually happens. Sure can’t get any worse.🤫

    Plus he was only 3-21 in Sept after coming back off the injured list, so not much of a mystery why Abreu didn’t play especially against Fried, and Rodon. Also Duran played most of the time, and Abreu didn’t pretty much for the past few years against LHP.

    Good for Ref Man. He got $6.5M When he had never gotten more than $2.1M from the Red Sox, or anyone else.

    I agree it was not a so called overpay for Crochet. People use the so called overpay all the time, because they play with BTV. As I’ve said the last three offseason the Red Sox were not going to sign any high priced long term FA starter, and would have to trade some SUSPECTS to get one, which is what they did. OVERPAY, OVERPAY, OVERPAY.🤭

    The Red Sox have already said Contreras will have minimal times behind the plate, and I don’t think that means anywhere near 50 games. He is here to play mostly 1B, and DH some, and that makes the most sense since they didn’t give much of an effort to sign Alonso. I don’t really care what happens with KC rather in Boston, or somewhere else. If he turns out then great, but if not Meh.
