    He seems like a good kid, so hopefully he gets straightened out in Woo, and eventually gets back up to Boston.

    For KC to make his way back up to Boston most likely someone would have to get hurt, and even then he might not be the first option. He’s got to prove himself in Woo first.

    You look worse trying to explain it than you did posting the first time. Money most likely has something to do why Masa is on the club, and has nothing to do with why KC isn’t. Every case is different, and there is about a $16M difference for this year. If Masa only had one year left on his contract it may be a different story altogether. KC making a little over $2M this year is not even a consideration especially for a suspect, which KC is, and Masa isn’t to make the team. Two ENTIRELY different situations with 2 ENTIRELY different outcomes that shouldn’t even be compared IMO.🙈

    It’s not funny at all. Is KC owed $18M this year? Next year? Matter of fact unless the Red Sox pick up an option way down the line KC won’t make $18M in any year. What a bad, bad, bad comparison.🤭

    If Masa was a RHB I could understand it better.

    Masa is on the team for two reasons IMO. They couldn’t unload him, and his contract. I don’t believe it’s to give guys rest.

    I wouldn’t call Masa your typical bench guy, and if not for his contract might not be there. He’s totally limited.

    Yoshida may be the best bench bat, but where is his AB outside of an injury going to come from? Masa has had a regular role before, and now he doesn’t. Casas, and KC aren’t even on the Boston horizon at this point, and that’s with Woo being so close by.

    Story has been tried before at the top of the order, and it hasn’t worked out, so no guarantees he stays there.

    No surprises so far on the roster, but I didn’t think Masa would still be there as a backup whatever.

    As I’ve said this offseason it will be interesting to see how Cro Man fares this season after his first heavy workload in innings last year. It starts counting for real next time out, and that’s all that matters.

    The Red Sox needed starters at the time especially with Sale being frail, and both Whitlock, and Houck were cheap options whom both roles were messed with.

    I have less worries on Whitlock then I do with Chapman for this coming season.

    Like I said the other day that KC has to improve just to be a Suspect again let alone an everyday player. He’s also been playing CF pretty much exclusively, and I don’t see 2B in his future at all no matter what happens. The only thing Casas is lined up for is to start running again so being the primary DH could be a long time off if at all.🤔

    Didn’t the Red Sox already know KC wasn’t a good 2B last year when they gave him the job to start the season yet they were so concerned they kept playing him in the OF in ST, and once the season started.
