  1. I agree on Mayer to a point. Mayer lost a lot of developmental time in the Minors due to injury, and more time down there wouldn’t hurt him. Sitting on the bench against LHP doesn’t help him either. Mayer is still a Suspect at this point to me.
  2. Trading Abreu would be alright too.
  3. I agree on only one, and I agree on Bregman.
  4. I don’t think the Red Sox would give AZ whatever they want, but just like getting Crochet the Red SOX had to give up something good to get something good, and dealing to get Marte wouldn’t be any different, nor should it be. Most of the trade ideas I read on here mostly favor the RED Sox, and that’s not going to get things done.
  5. I would roll the dice, and put Mayer at SS, but only if he’s going to play everyday. Signing FA is a way to go like Bregman, but it’s also expensive for a longer period of time, and I think that’s the big hang up right now with doing so.
  6. Money, Money, and more MONEY.
  7. If Mayer was to start at 2B he would most likely do some platooning with Romy, so you don’t need 2 more IF.
  8. So not getting Bregman, or Marte would be falling back to what plan? Mayer is still an injury risk, and a platoon player at that at this point.
  9. Losing Duran, or keeping Duran is not going to make, or break the ball club IMo.if you can improve the ball club in other areas, which improves the ball club you do it.
  10. I think they’ve always been in on Bregman, but years is still the Big sticking point.
  11. As I said before Contreras is better than what they had before, and he will help. He doesn’t carry Flintstone’s, or Alonso’s bat, and most importantly he doesn’t have the PriceTag the other two have, and that’s why he’s here, and neither of the other two are. Also only has only two more years left on his contract, which is also very important to the club. He’ll help, but I’d rather have ALONSO.
  12. Yea I’m different that way. I like the numbers that show up on the scoreboard, which counts the most, and decides W-L.
  13. The last 2 years? I’ll take ALONSO’s 72-214 over Contreras 35-116 anytime.
  14. I’ll take Alonso’s 38-126 over Contreras 20-80 anytime.
  15. He’s no Alonso, but he’s better than what they had.
  16. Sounds like the Red Sox have found a trading partner with St Louis. Who’s next? Two years left on the Contract of the Con Man. Just the kind the Red Sox like.
  17. The Dodgers spend, and the Mets spend also, but the Dodgers are better than getting it right.
  18. NOBODY has to take Masa, and Hicks just, because you want to get rid of them.🤭
  19. I still think the Red Sox are dickering with Bregman, but the biggest hangup is in the length of the contract, and we all know the Red Sox don’t want to go any longer than they have to, and the shorter the better, but we also know BorASS has other ideas.
  20. Why would anyone try to get one the Red Sox would actually do when it’s evident more fun to play make believe.🤫
  21. But your scenarios aren’t most likely to ever happen, and that spaghetti you keep throwing still doesn’t stick., but keep trying.😉
  22. You think all the guys you’re trying to get rid of other teams actually want.
  23. No on anything with Hicks , or NOshida, and Casas together. Just, because Bloom blew everyone out of the water, and shut down the bidding for Masa’s services in record time with the Red Sox doesn’t mean he’d want him now.🙈
  24. Exactly! The Red Sox were right there knocking on the door that a move, or two might have got them in. Instead the third option at the fork in the road was used. Brez thought he had improved the BP in 2024, but it didn’t work out.
