    When you listen to Breslow talk he doesn’t sound to confident, or any urgency in what he is doing.

    KC is an example of not everyone should, or can play multiple positions. The Red Sox messed him up big time last year IMO trying to make him do that, because that’s how things are so called done these days, and now he has to catch up, and develop hopefully at just 1 position.

    As the Red Sox showed only offering Alonso 3 years I think the Red Sox want Bregman, but are trying to get as short of a deal as they can.

    Didn’t Marte also have some issues last year of wanting to be on the field? His teammates were frustrated with the number of days off requests.

    I’ve spoken about the bad injury Ju Ju the past few years, so I’ll start there. I’m not counting on Story to stay healthy, or Mayer either for that matter. Chapman had a career year last year after bouncing around the league, and hadn’t been a FT closer for a number of years, so I’m not counting on him to be great again this year. Cro Man had the most innings pitched by a wide margin in his short career last year, so it will be something to see if it has any side effects this year. The bad injury Ju Ju is real.

    Another word on the street was the Red Sox offered Alonso 3/$85M with an option.

    BorASS has reached out to the Mariners saying Bregman would be interested. Trying to drum up business, and a higher contract?

    The word on the street now is the Red Sox were Leary of signing Alonso, because of his age, so Bregman are Marte are older, and I guess that would leave them out too.

    I agree, but I’ve just got a bad feeling that if the Red Sox resign Bregman it will be for more money than that. I thought the contract Bregman signed last year was right in the length.

    I read that it was rumored the Angels offered 4/$100M with opt-outs.

    I think that Bregman did not to really want to go to Detroit, so he took the 1 YEAR offer from Boston for something better this year, and maybe from Boston.

    Alonso may have been Plan A, but Brez was waiting to see if he was going to be on mark down. I’m just guessing here, but the Red Sox probably came in with the lowest offer.

    I’m not sure the 2026 Cro Man will be as good as the 2025 Cro Man,and I’m not sure the 2026 Chapman will have another career year, and be as good as the 2025 Chapman. What if the Red Sox resign Bregman, and he doesn’t get off to the fast start like he did in 2025, and he reverts back to like he did in 2024?🤔

    Rankings in a draft class doesn’t always translate to success once you get to the Big Leagues. You know more Suspect than Prospect. Mayer was also past over by three other teams. Not being able to stay on the field is not a good look either.

    Then why go through a dog, and pony show trying to get a face to face with someone if you are not going to make a legit offer? We’ve seen that act too many times.🤔

    The troubling part is if the Red Sox wasn’t willing to spend on Alonso whom they were supposedly interested in I can’t see them spending much on anyone else except for Bregman.

    According to reports the Red Sox were short on years, and significant less money for Alonso, and the last I knew they did not meet face to face. I guess the zoom meeting told enough.

    And once again the Red Sox wouldn’t be in such a big need for production bats if they hadn’t traded Devers Forevers.🤔
