  1. Same with Bloom. Theo must have taken different classes at Yale to able to communicate better.
  2. How did the IF defense look last year to start the season? 3B was better, but how about 2B, and 1B? Why would they have a zoom meeting with Alonso, and then a face to face if they wasn’t interested half hearted as the offer was.
  3. I think Alonso’s bat would have looked better in the BO than Bregman, and he would have produced more.
  4. But I think the model on Alonso was with the idea they would get Bregman.
  5. Do you think they would have offered Alonso more if they knew they wouldn’t get Bregman?
  6. HR. Alonso 118. Bregman 69 RBI. Alonso 332. Bregman 235 Just to simplify things, and I’m going for Alonso.
  7. And with the Red Sox they have a set limit. It might have been $165M for Bregman, but from reports it was s t r e c h e d out over a long time. What a player is worth to one team might not be that much to another. Alonso was worth $150M to Baltimore, but only $85M to Boston.
  8. Sounds like Brez not reading the room very well, which is not surprising at all.
  9. He’s moving for the second year in a row of his own choice. It’s not like Houston didn’t make him an offer to stay there, or Detroit last year to go there. I understand he wants to get every penny he can, but I don’t care that he has to move to get it.
  10. I vaguely remember Ted myself, so kind of starting with Yaz with me.
  11. The Bad Boston injury ju Ju as I call it.
  12. His D was horrible, and they kept moving him around the field, which didn’t help him either especially since he was penciled in at 2B, and still today after moving around even more at Woo still doesn’t have a position.
  13. The present day value was way too low, because of decades of deferred money was a report I read along with the no trade.
  14. The biggest bats out there as FA are OF, and it seems Martel is off the market, so Brez is going to have to get creative to find one.
  15. The Con Man should be a step up from what they had, but to me a step down from what they could of had in Alonso. As for Gray it remains to be seen if he’s a step up from Gio.
  16. There were lots of Arenado rumors last offseason before Bregman was finally landed, but I totally agree RAF Man needs to stay in CF.
  17. I get it, but the only thing I was on before was the old CBS stuff, and the biggest discussion I remember was if Theo was Boy Blunder, or Boy WONDER.
  18. Wow,! Must of been a real wild board at one time.
  19. On paper it seems to be only a $10M difference, but all the fine print made it seem like a lot more especially the NO trade.
  20. I agree, but what if no OF, and or Masa is traded, or unloaded?
  21. It seems like the Red Sox were too heavy on the deferring also.
  22. I think the rotation could be strong, but as we’ve seen the past few years depth could be a key if injuries start to pile up. I think it will be interesting to see how Crochet does after his first heavy workload last year, and then can Chapman be somewhere as good as last year. I hope the lineup isn’t a finished product yet.
  23. Good. I thought I might have to take a polygraph, or go in a lineup, or something.
  24. I don’t know who this guy was, or is, but I’m definitely not him impersonating, or otherwise.😉
