    If Story Land goes down for his annual repairs, and maintenance I don’t think you will see the RAF Man move back to the IF. He’s the FT CF now no matter who else is in the OF.

    Last year was Grissom’s best chance to make the team. This year the chance while still there was not as good, and 2026 will be slim, and none IMO.

    According to reports the Red Sox were trying to include Masa with Casas to Seattle.

    Masa has NO issues with swinging a bat that I’ve heard of, and that’s pretty much all he should do. Roster construction does not warrant a trip to the IL IMO.

    RAF Man said it took him a few games to adjust on tracking fly balls after moving back to the OF last year too.

    Exactly. Trade him, or release him. Even if healthy I don’t see him picking up a glove again despite what Cora says.

    Story is not the same player he was in Colorado both AB, and in the field IMO.

    If Anthony is FT, which he should be when he makes the 26 that leaves a Duran, RAF Man, and Anthony OF. That leaves less of a need for Ref Man, and then what to do with Abreu. I see RAF Man being the FT CF not any role player moving around IMO. The less moving around the better it is for the team IMO for all the FT players.

    This doesn’t do Mayer any good developmental wise playing him SS one day, 3B another day, and 2B another day. When Mayer gets on the 26 put him where he’s going to play, and leave him there. Same with Campbell. When they make it they should be FT players. Not role players. That’s for Romy, and Sogards of the world.

    Yes Chapman has been a good closer, but is now 36, and hasn’t been a FT closer for a few years now. Hendricks also 36 has only pitched 5 innings since 2022, so we’ll find out how capable they are now.

    To not know who the closer is going into ST is not a good plan in itself, but to not know at the end of ST is even worse. Like I said I hope things all work out, but I have serious doubts.

    I hope things work out, but I’m pretty skeptical of relying on a 36 year old closer who has only pitched 5 innings since 2022. I felt a lot better gong into the last two seasons about the 8th, and 9th innings. Not a sound plan IMO.

    Back end of the BP namely the closer is the biggest question mark to me.

    Has all his injuries in Boston been what was damaged before he got there?

    Story was damaged goods, but has had other injuries outside of what was damaged just like Sale.

    I’ve said before that Story left his Colorado bat in Colorado, and I don’t know if he’s the SS he was once either.

    True, but Story got it when he came to Boston, and Gio did too.

    Mayer is not ready now anyway. If KC becomes the FT 2B he’s the FT 2B, and there is no need to move him. Bregman May only stick around for 1 year, and then Mayer could play SS, and Story could move to 3B. Story has to stay healthy is the biggest thing he has to do.

    When you’ve got to many FT players then it will be time to trade someone for pitching. When Mayer is ready I’m not going to worry what happens with Story.

    Exactly. It doesn’t do any of the young guys any good to bounce them around. They should have figured out by now if KC is going to be a 2B, or an OF. 2B has been more than a need since Petey left. It would be good IMO to have someone there FT instead of a revolving door, or any kind of platoon. Bouncing around should be for the Romy’s of the world, and not FT players.

    Texas has already announced that Evol will be the opening day starter, but grudgingly agree on Hamilton. Don’t like platoons, and DHam is just the best of the worst if ST stats mean anything.
