  1. A 2-6 home stand. PATHETIC. 15 runs scored in 5 games against Toronto with 6 runs coming in 1 game. Also PATHETIC. Not being able to win at Fenway with a season 31-38 record. PATHETIC. And still despite all this the Red Sox are still in a postseason hunt.
  2. BBB has had a pretty good Aug outside of the Arizona game. Should have 5 starts, or 6 starts left down the stretch, so we’ll have to wait, and see if he pitches as good in Sept.
  3. Another good game, and another Sale Day last night as he picked up his league leading 15th win with a 6 IP- 6 H- 6K- 1 ER game.TO BAD the Red Sox didn’t have a pitcher like that.
  4. Outside of Old Faithful (Hill) the Red Sox don’t have many other options then to keep using him. Chris Sale isn’t coming through that door.
  5. Getting hit on the hand with the ball is not a sign of more injuries to come.
  6. Breslow did what he said he would do, and picked a lane at trade deadline time. Unfortunately it was the break down lane. Add Paxton, and the car is full.
  7. It looks good on paper, and at times watching it happen, but unfortunately at the moment it’s only lead to a three games over 500 record.
  8. Sale has pitched all year, and pitched well while Gio has been hurt, and hasn’t thrown a pitch, so at the moment yes Gio is more fragile than Chris Sale.
  9. Tough opening game at Texas A&M for Notre Dame. Inexperienced OL will be a big key not only in this game, but for the season. They already lost their projected starting LT for the season, which won’t help.
  10. I’m not disagreeing with anything, but just pointing out that the Red Sox record is what it is, because of the inconsistency, which at the moment is the losses piling up.
  11. Raffy, Duran, and the RAF Man have been your every day players, and the rest have been pretty much platoons anyway. Yes very little help once again at the trade deadline has not helped. The pitchers picked up have been worse since coming to Boston.
  12. Sometimes those stats can be misleading. Big bats one day, and silent the next like yesterday DH.
  13. All is true, but let’s not let the gloves, or the bats off the hook either. This is also the third year in a row that a Cora led ball club has been a bad fundamental ball club. Rich Hill has been activated, and will come to the rescue tonight, so help is on the way.
  14. He does donate his time for the Jimmy Fund, and throws batting practice to raise money, so he is good for that.
  15. There will be 2 good announcers for tonight’s game from the SeaDogs. Lou doesn’t stop talking IMO.
  16. Bailing again? Sliver of hope? 33 games left, and only 4 out in the loss column does not seem like dire straights to me. I’ll admit the play at Fenway has been less than desirable, but it no time to bail on the team now. Of course I don’t twist, and turn according to witch way the wind is blowing like some do.
  17. This booth is OB, and the Yuckers. When you were brought up with Curt Gowdy, Ned Martin, and Ken Coleman who were top notch, and professional this group pales in comparison by a long shot.
  18. Devers Forever some nights, and Never Devers other nights. Sometimes even from AB to AB.
  19. Interesting too that Brez two pickups for the BP at the trade deadline have pitched worse since coming to Boston than they were before.
  20. Hasn’t played since July 30th. Lots of injuries for this kid so far at a young age.
  21. Either way Brez couldn’t have botched things up any more if he had tried to do so. A rookie 12th pick in the 2024 HOBO draft seemed real proud of himself with the work he did at the trade deadline too, and yes he a least picked a lane unfortunately it was the breakdown lane where he found Paxton. The others? Meh.
  22. Not bad against a good team, but the Red Sox lost ground to both Minnesota, and KC.
