  1. I don’t think pointing out that any starting pitcher who tails off after the ASB is not really uncommon especially making the leap that Houck made in innings pitched last year is arguing. If someone else had pointed that out you probably wouldn’t have called it arguing , but that’s cool. Cro Man will be under the same watch this year.
  2. Was the year prior when Houck got hit in the face? I wasn’t thinking Houck was a top of the rotation guy based off of last year, and would want to see him do it again this year, before I went there. We’ll see, but making 9 more starts last year, and throwing 73 more innings was a big increase.
  3. Oh I fully understand all the worry, and concern, but after listening to Cora explain how Raffy was behind his conditioning early in ST I went with the bad mechanics being all messed up theory instead of he was still being injured. Raffy starting out as bad as he did made things even look worse.
  4. Houck had Never thrown anything close to the 179 innings that he ended up throwing last year, and most likely wore down as the innings piled up, so it’s really not surprising of the post ASB numbers from the pre ASB numbers, and yes sometimes that carries on to the next year.
  5. That’s true, because it would have to be from long distance, because I think pretty much I was the only one who was NOWHERE near the Raffy Ledge you were on. At least you have plenty of company.
  6. I’ve been trying to talk MVP, and others down off the Raffy ledge for the past few days. After Raffy got a couple of hits tonight maybe he, and others will at least come back inside the window. You’re welcome!
  7. Excellent pitched, and well played game, and a well needed win at that.
  8. He was The Last Man Standing. As I’ve said before IMO if Raffy would have come up for contract first, and Mookie last most likely Mookie would be here, and Raffy wouldn’t.
  9. To be put back on the books for replacements. Especially the pitching.
  10. It’s a lot more likely that he is, than he is not IMO. Just watching through the years.
  11. Mazz is a tough critic, so if he’s in it must be a good thing. He did make a good point about KC’s agent though.
  12. Fully aware of that, but I was talking about none of the slumping players have been sat down, or there has been NO movement up, or down in the batting order that has been suggested on here.
  13. I was going on the assumption that the posters on here had watched the games, and knew what the 3-67 would mean. I wasn’t assuming anything else.
  14. Mazz is in. Says Excellent, Excellent, Excellent, and KC will probably hate his agent in 3 years.🤫 Good point. Who’s his agent? It must not be Boras.
  15. My point being that 3-67 was all that was really needed.Going further didn’t really add anything IMO. 3-67 says it all. 2 RBI was the big add on.
  16. OPS? Raffy, Casas, RAF Man, and Wong are 3-67 with 2 RBI, and Raffy’s was off a BB. Plain, and simple.
  17. Did I, or have I not said right along that in my opinion it’s a COMBINATION of things that has led to Raffy not hitting the ball? Yet you want to ONLY want to focus on one thing the weight that most likely is the least significant factor of all. Not a very good comeback at all. Disappointing, and I expect better from you.🙈🤭
  18. Who said that gaining 10 lbs would make Raffy not being able to hit the ball? Reading comprehension? I’ve said all along it’s a combination of things, and injuries isn’t one of them. This is all on Raffy. If he’s hurt he hasn’t said anything, and if he’s not he’s just not hitting, and it’s up to him to get out of it, and start hitting again. This poor, poor Raffy thing is not on Cora. Raffy is making himself look foolish. Cora shouldn’t be dropping him down the batting order, resting him, or sending him down to Woo. Raffy is the one who kept putting off playing in a ST game, because he wanted to work on his swing in live BP, and in the cage. If he’s hurt he’s hurt, but if he’s not he needs to work his way out of it.
  19. And Story, Casas, Wong, and RAF Man isn’t much better.
  20. If you want to give Bloom kudos for picking Mayer fine, May end up as a real steal.
  21. The is NO known evidence to us fans that Raffy is still injured at all. As I have said all along it could be a combination of bad habits, and mechanics all out of whack as the result of the injuries from last year, but until I hear different I don’t think he’s hurting at least physically. The pictures I saw of him yesterday side by side of 2024, and 2025 it looks like he’s got more girth in his trunk this year. In other words not the best of shape he could be in, so that’s all on him. Just saying. Pap might have had something there.
  22. The big question to me is what would BLOOM have done if he had the first pick?
  23. I’m not claiming indifference, or support for Brez. At the time I was just glad to get out from the Gloom, and Doom of Bloom. Brez wouldn’t have been my first choice, and I don’t think he was the Red Sox first choice either, but most importantly he was willing and available, and Theo probably put I a good word for him also. If things work out great, but if the don’t I won’t say I told you so either.
  24. Oh, so now it’s a slump, and he’s not injured?
