    That I agree with.
  2. Old Red
I think starting pitching are mostly overvalued.
  3. Old Red
I’m not so sure that other teams value Duran, and Abreu quite as highly as some do on here, or even Garcia for that matter.
  4. Old Red
How do you see an offer for Greene if you were on the Cincinnati side. Would Duran, Garcia, and Sandlin be enough?
  5. Old Red
The Red Sox are 23rd in the league revenue to payroll.

It was the Love, and Price show for ND. Good to get a win, but what a sloppy game. Both the game, and the weather.

I don’t think other teams are beating down the door for Hicks, or Masa throwing in Duran, or not. Seattle wouldn’t bite last year on Casas, and Masa for Castillo. So dreaming about unloading Casas, Hicks, and Masa, or Wong on somebody most likely won’t happen.

If he can be part of a package to get a good starting pitcher, or a RHH power bat then yes. I said that a year ago when his stock was higher than I believe it is now especially after morphing back somewhat to the Butterfly Man in LF.

Brez traded Sale, and traded for Crochet giving up some prospects, so he will make moves. As for signing a high priced FA to a long term contract I’ll believe it when I see it.

I didn’t say there was any harm, and just said for me I’m waiting. The only thing I’ve said is putting Mayer at SS no matter who stays, and who goes.
  11. Old Red
With any stater you just worry about getting through the year they’re in without going on the IL.
  12. Old Red
Chapman had a career year last year. I’m not counting on him to be the same next year.
  13. Old Red
    Or Lowe stumbled into him.
  14. Old Red
I’ve been complaining about taking the last 3 years off especially at the trade deadline. Having a losing record, and last place in the division was unacceptable for the amount of times the Red Sox have been there championships, or not. I always have said you can’t always count on the future to turn out like you think, and want it too. Teel is gone, but you can’t count on Roman, Mayer, and KC all turning out to be stars let alone Superstars.

The Dever’s situation has been gone over, and over, and over. Yes Devers was vocal about not wanting to move to 1B though reporters, and Brez, but what no one knows is what conversation Devers had with Cora if any. Cora said he hadn’t talked to Raffy about playing 1B, and said he wasn’t going to, and that to me was the key to the way I’ve looked at this whole situation.

Agree 100%. Especially to if Bregman is in Boston for only 1 year.
  17. Old Red
Yes we’ve heard you say this many times, but Cora didn’t see it that way, and it Never happened, nor do i believe would have if Casas had stayed on the team, and stayed healthy.
  18. Old Red
If Roman stays healthy I don’t think you have to wait much longer for him. Mayer, and Campbell may be another story.
  19. Old Red
I’d wait, and see if Bregman, and, or Story come back to begin with myself, and then see what the plans are for Casas, and, or Masa. Kind of hard to make plans until those situations are worked out IMO.
  20. Old Red
That’s fine on Abreu, but when will he ever get close to 650? I would rather have someone who plays everyday, and preferably a RHB.
  21. Old Red
In other words he spews out a bunch of words, but really doesn’t say very much.
  22. Old Red
We didn’t keep Mookie, Bogey, or Raffy, so Duran, or Abreu shouldn’t be untouchable, or even cause any worry on if either one is kept, or not. Let’s just bring everyone back.🙈
  23. Old Red
I guess the way I look at it is if the Red Sox spend $40M on 1 player it makes less money available for other needs.
  24. Old Red
Agree, and definitely not any longer than 3 years.
  25. Old Red
He was never worth $40M. As I said when the Red Sox signed him he was no Mike Schmidt. Bregman also did his best work batting behind Raffy.
