  1. Three years in a row of not making the postseason, and to me no one should be untouchable in a trade. I just don’t see the Red Sox going out on a big spending spree to sign a Corbin Burns at the very least not to mention an elite closer. Trades would be an lot cheaper option for JH.
  2. It’s not the trade, but the cost to resign him would be the big stumbling block.
  3. They are shedding some payroll in Sale, Jansen, Martin, and Pivetta, but those will also have to be replaced except for Sale. What the plan for Whit will be will will dictate if more help for the BP, or rotation is needed.
  4. This young core that everyone has been salivating about for the last three years might not ever to good enough to build around to produce a big winner. Raffy, Mookie, and Bogey wret all young in 2018, and look how things have gone down hill since, and only 1 is still here. I still don’t see any big spending sprees happening this offseason, so tra$es to me is the way to go, and no one should be untouchable, and that includes Never Devers.
  5. Casas will be the FT 1B, and Raffy will be the FT 3B next year IMO. How much of the predictions, opinions, or suggestions on here come to fruition? 🙈🤭
  6. They needed a SS too when Story went down, so maybe they should have traded Houck, or Whit, or some other pitcher to get one.
  7. He stayed healthy this year for once. Let’s see if he can do it again.
  8. Everything will be spelled out for everyone next week at the year end press conference when Sam will do his spin, and grin' and Cora will say his usual we’ve got to do better, and give his plan on how to make the D better. Brez The Prez just coming down from his fabulous work at the trade deadline will say he’s still evaluating. Maybe even Tom will say a few words.
  9. I don’t think JH would get rid of his trusted HOBO after just one year no matter how much he sucked. Bad decisions, bad luck, or just s*** happening withstanding.
  10. I sure Sam has his end of season presser speech all written out, and ready to go. It most likely won’t sound much different from the last two years.
  11. That sounds about right.
  12. The funny part is that so many on here bought into full throttle last year, and then cried sham, sham, sham when it didn’t happen. Some on here were even excited when the Red Sox met with the Yam Man like they were going to outbid all the big spenders. Wonder what they will buy into this year?
  13. Anything less than playing in the postseason for the third year in a row is a total unacceptable FAILURE, and nothing nice about it IMO. You’re still sitting home with the White Sox. JH failed. Brez Failed. Cora failed, and the players failed. Total Failure by Baseball Ops from top to bottom.
  14. The Red Sox bats came alive yesterday in a Meaningless game for them paddling their overall stats to make them look better than they really have been especially when they have pretty much quit in Sept. way to go Casas. Ya Hoo!🙈🤭
  15. I’m not impressed with ND at all, and especially their passing game. That game yesterday was sloppy, and a lot closer than the final score. ND is no top 15 team IMO.
  16. Thank God the Red Sox extended Alex Cora the most overrated manager in Red Sox history IMO. Under his leadership the Red Sox have now gone 3 years in a row without making the postseason, and now Cora has a chance to make it 6 years in a row.🤭🙈
  17. If Sam stays on his same message at the end of the season he will repeat that Baseball Ops failed. That’s one thing he’s been right about the last 3 years. Cora is part of that failure, and once again this has been a Bad fundamental team, and that can’t be all blamed on JH, and not on Cora, but some will do it anyway. This team can win a WS with Cora, and this team can lose with Cora, and not even make the postseason 3 years in a row.
  18. I know at times this team at least on paper looked to have a better shot at making the postseason this year, but I’ll go back once again to what I heard back in May that the Red Sox are fantasy contenders in fantasy contention. It was true then, and it’s true now. They had their chance, but now Detroit, and Seattle has passed them, and they would have to climb over them first to get to a Minnesota. September will come to an end, and for the third year in a row Baseball Ops from top to bottom will have failed once again.
  19. Brez for executive of the year. Not for the Red Sox, but for the Atlanta Braves.🤫
  20. 3.5 games behind May sound better, but it’s 4 games back in the L column.
  21. I don’t think signing Story was any effort to improve the D, but just a CHEAPER option than resigning Bogey. You’ve said more than once, and I agreed with you that Signing Story was just to appease the fans, because they were getting restless with so little activity was being done to improve the team. Was signing Yoshida an effort to improve the D?
  22. Another Sale Day last night as Chris CY YOUNG Sale gave up 1 run over 6IP while giving up 5 hits, and striking out 6 against the Dodgers. Sale picked up his MLB leading 17th win to make it 17-3, and lowered his MLB leading ERA to 2.35, and also notched his 219th K, which also leads MLB. Bought, paid for, and gift wrapped by Brez, and JH to the Atlanta Braves. Can you believe it?🤭🙈
  23. Not much of a game today, and ND made it look as easy as it can get. That’s the good part. The bad part is that ND lost 2 starting OL where they were inexperienced, and thin at to begin with. Also the Starting QB for ND hasn’t thrown an TD yet 3 games into the season. He can run, but ND will need more than that against the better teams. I saw some comments today calling for Angeli.
