He could be.
He’s obviously not the most valuable gem in the system, and has earned his removal from three top 100 lists since the beginning of last year. But I still think a rival GM would prefer a long term project like Bleis over a AAA LHH DH/1b type like Kavadas who was left in the minors by his current organization in favor of journeyman Dom Smith.
Kavadas might even be dealt, but as the returns get bigger, more GMs would ask for Bleis over Kavadas, Sandlin, Jordan, and Lugo.
The Sox, OTOH, might prefer to hold Bleis, hoping a bounce back thrusts him back into the upper echelon of all prospects. Basically, they might not want to sell him low right now…
