  1. 100% One game at a time.
  2. Up 3-1 now. You would think they'd be able to close this series out, but I wouldn't bet on it.
  3. Yeah, that's where I am with all of that. If the Dodgers and Red Sox met in the WS, that's all we'd hear about. Anyway, Go Braves! More importantly, Go Red Sox!
  4. My students have told me a little about this show. I don't get the appeal.
  5. I'm not as hopeful of advancing to the WS as I previously was, but the Sox aren't out of this yet. One game at a time. Enjoyably frustrating is a good way to describe this team.
  6. I disagree.
  7. I do not want to face the Dodgers. I do not want to hear about all the 'subplots' all series long. Go Braves!
  8. ???
  9. Not a scorched team, but a scorched farm and a scorched budget.
  10. Yikes. Thank goodness the owners did tighten up the purse strings.
  11. I think he'll eventually sign a player to a big contract, but I'm not talking Mookie Betts territory. Maybe 6 or 7 years for a position player. That said, I'd be perfectly happy if he continued to sign the Kike's and the Renfroe's of the world. Those are my kind of moves.
  12. IMO, Dave should have never been hired. Ben should have been left alone to finish what he started. That said, had Dave not been hired, we might currently not have Bloom.
  13. The thing about predictions is, if you make enough of them, eventually you'll get some right. LOL
  14. More like their plan to deliver champagne to Boston.
  15. You can take them down whenever you're ready. I'm just happy to be in the ALCS!
  16. Thanks Dave!
  17. Regardless, the Sox are still in it while the other teams aren't.
  18. Ha. Well played. People who are hoping for Dombrowski type moves are likely going to be disappointed with Bloom's moves, though I do think he'll make those big moves when they make sense. They just won't be the norm. Bloom is the man. I thought he was the man before this season started. His team building philosophy gels with mine.
  19. The Rays have a knack for finding good pitchers. Bloom was a part of that organization for many years. I think there's more to it than just luck.
  20. Dombrowski, the man who 'knows how to win championships'. Are the Phillies in the playoffs?
  21. For one, the team walks improved significantly after Schwarber became active.
  22. Yup. Bloom was criticized for not improving the team at the deadline, while Tampa Bay, NY, and Toronto all supposedly made significant improvements. And yet, which team is left standing?
  23. Amen. I've said this over and over, but no one wants to listen.
  24. The Rays needed to be taken down a notch.
  25. You're right, I do deserve to be co-MVP of this series. But not because of my prediction. Because of all the stupid stuff I put myself through to "help" the Sox win. It's a tough job, but someone has to do it. LOL Also, WOOHOO!
