Not sure that's fair to Refsnyder where he's probably one of the best hitters in baseball against lefties. Are there any teams in baseball that don't put at least 2 crappy hitters in the lineup most games?
  2. Bellhorn04
    True.
  3. Bellhorn04
Detroit has a huge lead in the division, so that's a bit in our favor if it comes down to those games.

MLB Late & Close is 676. A lot of those ABs are against tough relievers.

Sounds like a nice way of saying we choke too much.

    Rangers are really hot now.
  7. Bellhorn04
Flip side - it'd be worse if they won.

    Spitewatching at it's finest! 🙂

Disagree somewhat vehemently. He has closed deals with Crochet, Anthony, Bregman, Chapman, Bello and Rafaela, all excellent deals.

Well, the Trade Deadline post mortems are much less painful when you're winning games.

It's not that. I have expressed my Pollyanna belief that he prefers Boston.

    Long relief perhaps.

And if Breslow refused to trade Tolle or Early maybe he should get kudos instead of bricks.

No one can say you don't stay on message, Fred.

We have so many righty starters on the IL.
  16. Bellhorn04
I just meant looks as in physical appearance.
  17. Bellhorn04
All's I know is I'd rather see him back next year. Get it done, Craig.
  18. Bellhorn04
Looks-wise Early has a bit of a resemblance to a young Kershaw.
  19. Bellhorn04
Man, if someone had told you that 3 lefty starters would make their Boston debuts in September 2025, you would have assumed we were in 2012-style garbage time.

Ease up, Nick. No way did the post you responded to deserve repeatedly calling the other poster names.

I'm fairly comfortable the Sox will come up with an offer that will retain him, but you never know with these things of course.

Breslow is not a robot, he's just a super-brainy guy who needs to work on his communication skills a bit. This is a man who played 12 MLB seasons and won a title. We're actually pretty fortunate to have someone with that kind of experience in the game plus the brain he has. And once again my attitude might be affected by winning the last couple of games. 🙂

Maybe a 3 year guarantee plus vesting options based on games played. Or something like that...

They have absolutely been the model MLB team over the last decade, based on a combination of success and payroll management.

The exchange rate is in the high thirties right now, plus I get whacked with a few extra points by my credit card. I have no idea what the duty rate is right now but I've had to pay like 20% on some things I buy from the US. Actually I'm not sure if they can even ship this to me, there are lot of restrictions. It'd be cool to have though.
