    It was a really weird time to be trading a starter. Apparently they saw the Brewers as being desperate and willing to overpay in future talent. And they must not have been high on Priester's stuff. I appreciate that Breslow has been bold, but this move was kind of hyper-aggressive IMHO.

    The Quinn Priester trade might end up looking like a big one. He pitched 6 scoreless against the Dodgers last night. 3 hits, 10 Ks, 0 BBs.

    Well, let's see, they named KC the starting day 2B even though he didn't have a great spring. And they signed him to an 8 year extension at the start of the season. I think you can make a pretty good case that in December 24 KC was at the top of their depth chart and Grissom's future with the team was in serious doubt.

    At the time the trade was made, I'd say the Sox viewed Campbell as the 2B man.

    Casas's 2025 injury was kind of in the freak category? I'm overplaying it a bit here just for fun. If it wasn't for the fact that Casas is still dirt cheap I probably wouldn't be advocating for him like this. Where's Dipre? He was a big Casas guy.

    Yeah, a great offensive approach that has yielded a .293 SLG and 11 RBI in half a season.

    The giving up on injured guys part isn't much different.

    Sure, but what's the big deal with Meidroth. He has a .626 OPS (.293 SLG-horrific) and 0.7 bWAR in half a season's work.

    Agree to disagree. Story got written off as a hopeless injury case and he's doing pretty well now.

    I like whichever uniforms they have the best W-L record in. Aesthetically, nothing comes close to their classic white red and black home unis.

    Not really seeing any significant mistakes. Casas going down was just a bad break. The Raffy to 1B rabbit hole is now sealed over.

    Reliever is a must 1B bat would be nice Really not sure if they're going after any starters - probably too pricey

    He seems like a great guy. I'm legit sorry his career got so derailed by injuries. Not so derailed he won't be going to the Hall, of course.

    More of a luxury than a need. Story and Rafaela have been raking the last month or two, Bregman is back, Gonzalez has a .945 OPS.

    That's awesome. I love players who go out of their way for the fans. I recently read a piece about Mike Trout hearing about a kid who had lost all his autographed baseball cards in a fire. Trout sent him a signed jersey.
