    I'm afraid mvp had it right about this 2026 team. Breslow built a team to try to win every game 3-2. We've already played 4 3-2 games, 1 W and 3 Ls.

    Why not? They've won between 85 and 90 games each of the last 5 years. That doesn't make them the '27 Yankees, but they've been one of the better teams for a while now. Obviously their postseason success has been lacking.

    Zack Wilson (?) who worked in the Sox organization at the time insisted that Betts would gladly have stayed if they got to the number he was looking for. Wilson said the Sox offer topped out at a little under $300 million and they had simply decided they didn't want to go any higher.

    I find it hard to even think of the Betts trade as a trade. They gifted him to the Dodgers.

    My man Noah Song got a Hold today! He's not really my man, that's kind of a Talksox inside joke, because I freaked out rather badly when Dombrowski snatched him in the Rule 5 draft. I chalk it up to my innate Red Sox superstition. Still it would be kind of cool if he makes it to the bigs. He seems to have a lot of determination.
