    Mine did. But it was more about adding 4 wins or so, for me personally. I don't like having Bregman because we paid him a lot of money. I like him because he's a really freaking good baseball player.

    Trading Devers was not something I wanted or expected going into this year. It never entered my mind until the troubles started in spring.

    Sorry man, I'm a little more into the here and now than you are. And a stretch of games that turned the Giants from buyers to sellers is not a small deal IMHO. I have bashed Henry plenty the last few years. But I think Devers instigated this trade himself. I'm not doing dirty work for anyone.

    Someone else will post them and I'll have to eat crow if/when it happens. But in the meantime he's under .700 in his first quarter season with the Giants and they are in a skid that turned them from buyers to sellers, so there's damage already done.

    They're 9th in homers, 5th in triples and 1st in doubles. Based on what do they lack consistent thump?

    The real issue is that other AL teams in contention did much more than us.

    The Sox should enact an official team rule that they will never again make any consequential deadline moves, announce it in a letter to the fans. Then at least we wouldn't go through all this waiting and hoping crap every year. They'd be doing us a favor.

    Your outlook is much more linear than mine. I believe there's much too much chaos to think linear all the time. And we look like a team that might be getting hot at the right time. That said, I do believe the Phils feel more urgency because of their massive payroll and key players getting older etc.
