  1. Seems like we're pretty much in the exact same boat other than that Red Sox owners should still see a profit!
  2. Despite a little run against the Yanks we're still just about dead last in scoring runs.
  3. People would not be complaining so much, of course, if we weren't 11 games under .500.
  4. Anthony does not meet the criteria for a flop. But the injuries are deeply concerning to say the least, especially since they both seem to be connected with swinging the bat.
  5. Zimmer reportedly pulled a bunch of clippings out of his desk with Lee calling him a gerbil. Yaz was dumbfounded.
  6. I have no idea. But one would think he's not unaware of the criticisms about his management style. And power can be a short-lived thing when you work for Henry LOL.
  7. I have had plenty of back and forth with Fred over the years. It's not really the negativity that finally did me in so much as the redundancy. He says the same things over and over and over. How many times has he already said the Sox should be trying to lose now instead of win? I'm guessing it's a bundle. And it will be a bundle more.
  8. It's a little strange because this is a guy who actually played the game for a pretty long stretch. I can only hope he learns from his mistakes.
  9. Fun with small samples: Seigler has a 0.6 bWAR in 12 games. Extrapolates to 7.5 for 150 games. 😁
  10. Who freaking knows where this team is going. There are some positive signs though. Pitching has been pretty damn good. Bats are waking up a bit. Durbin has become somewhat of a spark plug. New dude Seigler has really capitalized on his small sample. Contreras and Rafaela have been steady contributors. Sure hope Anthony gets back soon.
  11. I did the same a while ago. Now I just get a chuckle out of how many times the words "You've chosen to ignore content by Fred Lynn" appears on my screen while scrolling game threads.
  12. I'm fine with most of that, but the 4 innings one is debatable because it leaves 5 innings for the pen. 4 scoreless innings is not unhelpful, but a starter generally needs to go longer than that. All subjective stuff of course.
  13. It really is weird. The CBO can point to a lot of good moves, but nobody loves you when you're playing .400 ball in June. Hopefully things are now turning around.
  14. Well, we could be arbitrary about it and call it a blown hold if you give up the lead in an inning prior to the 9th.
  15. Can honestly say I was not expecting the Sox to win the first 3 games of this series outscoring the Yanks 16-5. What a crazy freaking game.
  16. Durbin went for outside help with his hitting and it seems to have worked wonders. 🤔
  17. Probably. But John Henry has only slightly more patience than us. 😂
  18. Some other team might think they can fix his swing. That's about all I've got.
