  1. Yep, I first joined the Globe Sox forum in 2007, and I couldn't believe how much abuse Epstein and Francona were taking.
  2. The weird thing about this 2026 team is that their losses are not all that stressful. We're not blowing leads, we just don't get leads in the first place.
  3. Yeah, but it's not like we actually take each other seriously. 😄
  4. It's only about the ten-thousandth time he has said it in his career as a Sox forum poster.
  5. That'd be a start, but I'm not bursting with confidence about who the replacement would be.
  6. I had to put Fred on ignore. It's not just the negativity but his posts tend to be extraordinarily repetitive. You are negative but in a way that's not boring. 😄
  7. JH was a fantastic owner until he lost his way in 2019. I would still shake his hand and thank him if I ever met him, but his legacy is really suffering.
  8. He was definitely talking about the Ruth-Betts parallels, he brought up Devers after that.
  9. That's why Brez has to move now. He doesn't seem like a "sit on your hands" type. And this is Year 3 of his 4 year window LOL.
  10. I think Breslow is gonna trade for a bat, but I have no idea who.
  11. I do get all the issues, I just think Breslow has to do something about the offense. Not doing anything about this offense is malpractice.
  12. Let's face it, we don't see the Sox doing much of anything more this year.
  13. Only if Yoshida is in the package, that is.
  14. This might be the time to trade for Trout. (Yes, I know it won't actually happen.) He seems to be heathy again and performing at 85-90% of peak. The Angels still stink. His contract runs to the end of 2030. Big boost for the offense and the fans. Rafaela, Yoshida, plus a pitching prospect, plus cash to subsidize Yoshida. Might take more than that.
  15. Nomar could still hit when we traded him.
  16. It was not a rigorously researched remark. I just noticed that Bregman's numbers are crappy but the team's are great, so it was kind of a jokey observation based on his reputation.
  17. Jeez man, lighten up. It was a casual observation based on the notion that gets floated about Bregman being a second hitting coach type.
  18. Bregman's numbers are mediocre to this point. Now if you buy into the idea that he doubles as a hitting coach, he seems to be doing a hell of a job!
  19. I think it has the potential to be very horrible. Devers's numbers this year are very horrible. -0.8 bWAR. 49 Ks/9 BBs.
