Rafaela to SS

Mead to CF

Also Rutschman to 2b because that’s where switch hitters should play…

Moving him to 2b would keep him more active and he could slim down his disgusting dad bod.

At 230 lbs, he's technically obese class 1 (BMI 30) for his height.

Therefore, I am in better shape than Adley Rutschman and am free to make fun of him.

Im 190 and 5'11, am I better shape than Adley?

Emmitt Smith was more obese than Rutschman (and me) with a BMI of 32.6.  Myles Garrett should be kicked out of FB for having a BMI of 33.1.

I'm not sure I can trust a calculation that tells me that I am in better shape than Smith and Garrett.  But Rut should lose 20 pounds if he wants to be taken seriously as a future FA.

You're overweight, but not obese.  I think doctors only use BMI to justify medical procedures.

I know, I have been not having enough nights off lately. Been being social every night and the belly is coming back.  Back on the peloton i go.

And plan on players having off years too.

Or not hyping, or expecting more out of some of the players in the first place.

Sure, lump em all together.

I think we did pretty well with the bench, especially our #6+ SP'ers and some pen arms like Guerrero.

It's interesting to note that while we were in the midst of that impossible winning stretch, we had a few subs playing, including Cheng & Monasterio at SS.

Wong led the team in PAs by catchers.

Sogard had more PAs (8th on team) than Story & Mayer, and was behind IKF and Monasterio on some positional depth charts in March.

Gasper got 225 PAs (13th) and was way down on the depth chart to start 2026.

IKF 183 but was hurt

Seigler 173 (seemed like more)

One could argue, and all healthy staff would have seen this rotation:

1 Crochet, 2 Suarez, 3. Gray, 4 Houck, 5 Bello/Sandoval

7 Crawford, 8. Oviedo, 9 Tolle, 10. Early, 11, Bennett

Our 9th SP finished 3rd in GS.

Out 10th SP finished 5th in GS before the injury & trade.

Our 11th starter ended up 4th in GS.

So far, it looks like no pitcher is slated to begin the season on the IL. (Is that a first?)

Anthony's injury is puzzling.

Gasper may start the year on the IL and maybe even the 60 Day.

Am I missing anyone, other than Casas who projects to pull a nose muscle brushing his teeth in February?

Of course, we will have injuries and decline, but I think we have plus depth, especially while Duran, Story and Yoshida are still on the 40.

If we add an elite bat or two real good ones, we bump a couple more players down the depth chart.

Depth is way down my list of concerns.

TBH, it wasn't even just losing two games that was the problem. The team put the brakes on once it got to September. It was a pretty miserable end to the season. It'd be one thing if we could just point to a bad few games, but the season was a real slog at the end.

Which interestingly was when the injured guys came back

Roman wasn't himself, but he did have a 797 OPS after coming back from injury. It also didn't help that Contreras only had 18 PA and Rafaela only had 13 PA in September.

OPS Sept '26:

Durbin 669

Sogard 619

Abreu 615

Jones 614

Duran 587

Eaton 556

IKF 432

Wong 341

Monasterio 212

Durbin, Sogard and Abreu are the only guys I'd want back from that group TBH.

And to beat a dead horse, Miller had a 5.15 FIP, 7.36 ERA in September with an 11.05 BB/9. Not ideal for a guy that would be coming in for high pressure situations!!!

And yet a computer spit out that Miller was the best one to go to not once, but twice in  that situation.🤔

Jones as a short side platoon, maybe, but it is kind of a waste of a roster slot, especially since we have Romy for that role.

According to the FO, Sandoval had 17% body fat.  If he was that skinny, I think you can be too.

Not that it would've made a difference, but using Miller as the first guy in seemed like an odd decision in the playoffs.

It was an interesting choice the first game. It was a wild choice the second game.

That’s being way to kind.🤫

Gamboa, Olds and Bello did so much better.

So did Crochet & Whitlock.

The guy everybody loves all year, Weissert, is who every poster here wanted the ball handed to.
