Thanks very much for the correction.  I was guessing.  That makes it even tougher on hitters.

The guy who said it was smart enough to be an instructor pilot in WW II, fight jets in the Korean War, and to manage the Washington MLB team.  

Besides, squarely is the exactly word to describe round on round being the difficult.

Changing a bit now; starting with Angel Hernandez a couple years ago, there seems to be an effort to get lesser rated veteran umps to "voluntarily" retire, albeit at a pretty expensive buyout.  7 are leaving after this season and coincidentally all have consistently been rated in the bottom quartile.
