Nick does a good job with the podcast and has made a nice list here.

Thanks. This one was a bit tough since at the time of the vote Bennett was still eligible since he was under 50 innings. I also thought about including LaFavor and Shelar but without seeing them play (Schaffner and Hull I can at least find multiple highlights of), I mostly kept my Top 20 with the same players but their orders rearranged.

a few points:

1.) I have watched Witherspoon pitch several times, including tonight. Tonight he hit two batters and had a wild pitch. Little command or control again!!
the stuff is above average, but not great. And definitely not tight!!!
if Witherspoon was drafted in the 8th round instead of the 1st round, I doubt he is on this list. I am not saying he is a bust, but I am wondering why a guy that throws less strikes than ray Charles would, is listed in the top 10???

2.) winnay and m white are both in Portland and they both have shown some home run ability and slightly better than average at bats!!  Yet 2 draft picks  beat them out for the list?? I guess the shiny new toys get all the love!!!!

3.) Arias’s numbers at AA Portland are better than either made or de vries AA numbers!!!!
I think arias absolutely deserves to be number one on the Red Sox prospect list, but he should also be in the top 2-3 on everybody’s top prospects in all of baseball list. (Yes I am a homer !!!!!) just so you know, the kid can hit! Has some pop! Decent arm!!!  Ok runner!!!  And man, can he play defense!!!!!

1. It's a combination of where the player is now and future ceiling. That's why Valera is still on the list even though his future is more cloudy given the ongoing injury questions.

2. I agree that Winnay should be higher. I think the problem is that his glove will hold him back. He will only end up being a 1B/LF guy and is more of a sum of all parts player. He's older than a lot of the other guys on the list so should be outperforming them. I'd probably have Winnay in the top 20 and I don't know enough about the picks TBH.

3. I think Arias may end up #1 in MiLB by the EOY.
