Seigler is only the second Navajo to play MLB. Each played for the Sox and the Yankems.

Ellsbury is Navajo

He’s the only other one

My bad. Although Seigler was a first round pick by the Yankems, he never played for them.

You complained when the Sox weren't hitting or winning. Maybe you're just a passive aggressive.

I don't generally complain when we lose.  But I've heard the passive aggressive thing before.  I'd prefer to think of it as a highly-developed form a snarkiness.

He tapped his own helmet towards his own dugout without saying a word, kind of making a gesture he wished he could challenge check swing strike call at first.

Can't recall, but I think I heard earlier this year that tapping the helmet was an automatic ejection--same as arguing balls and strikes.

I have Fred on ignore.  It makes the site far better, at least for me.

Good for you! But it won’t change my technique here at all

Fred was hoping for a grand slam.

RS winning causes him much angst.  He was near catatonic in 2007.

Fred's hoping for a high draft pick. Maybe the Sox can luck out and get another Mayer.

We all know this season is over-no playoffs. Again. The only rational approach is to plan for a better future by improving our draft position. Wins now are pretty irrelevant.

First BresLOW has to go and be replaced by someone competent. But yes-the higher the pick the better the chance of drafting talent.

As I posted before, Mayer wasn't drafted by Breslow.

Also, Leiter was the number one pick in the same draft as Mayer and he, also, has been a major disappointment.

But Breslow is responsible for this last place team. He’s the guy that assembled them. He got IKF, Gaspar, Durbin (who is actually doing better but still has crappy overall stats) instead of signing talented players that would have put us in contention.

The Sox have a better chance of making the PO's than drafting a future star.

If we get a top 5-6 pick there’s an excellent chance that pick could contribute

Btw, Mr Baseball, you were wrong about Rafaela. Just thought I would point that out.

The season isn’t over. Last year he faded at the end of the year. I’ll admit he’s much better this year but I want to see his end of the season stats

Being that you are a real Sox fan, I'm sure you're hoping he has a strong 2nd half of the season.

Of course! I certainly want him to continue to do what he has done so far this year. If he can do that he’ll be a major contributor once the team becomes relevant again. I’d love to be wrong about him. He’s a small man and I’m just not sure he can make it through an entire season being consistently good. He could tire out like last year.

You know the starting pitching is good when you almost forget that Crochet is on the IL.

It's hard to believe that we could be doing so well without either Crochet or Bello.  It's been so good that we don't even get to use Crochet's injury as an excuse.
