Worst case scenario is the Sox win the series, which on the West coast is completely acceptable.

Problem is all these games count right now. No room for error.

3-3 on any West Coast swing is something we can live with.

Sox may not win this game but fans should be encouraged by seeing three young lefties, Tolle, Early and Harrison who, along with Crochet and Bello, and others, could give the Red Sox a very good pitching staff in the future.

Here's a chance for Tedballgame to jump in and say that Wong should never have gone home on that Bregman grounder.  Tedballgame always gets it right because he has 20-20 hindsight.

Wong should have went on contact so I have no issue with that. I do have a problem with not being aggresive in the first inning with one out. And you don't have to be a jerk.

That was a very short throw from LF.  A good throw beats Duran.

And a bad throw he scores. Take the chance in the first inning, especially with one out already. Story has less than a 30% chance of getting a hit to drive in the run. That run looks huge now doesn't it?

Interesting how quickly Cora pulled the plug on Tolle.  Completely justified, of course, but shows how much Cora wants to win this game.  Plus tomorrow is an off day for entire pitching staff.

Tolle has been hit hard by two hard-hitting teams.  He doesn't have good breaking stuff and his control isn't very good.

Says a major league scout.

Lowe is another of those shiny objects RS GMs and fans gush over, only later to realize the team is already lousy with .220 hitters.

Why’s still Hamilton in this roster?

Skilled defender.  Fast baserunner.  And no obviously better replacement below him.

The injury to Mayer is another factor…

Hes a career .265 hitter with a Gold Glove at 1b.

But as he is due to make some $11-13 million in his final year of arbitration, coupled with the potential return of much cheaper Casas and possibility of the pre-paid Campbell, Lowe is a very likely non-tender candidate this off season…

Chapman has been great all season. Not a hard hit by Butler. Soft single. Tough loss but not a bad trip.

I know we won the series but again each game counts.  This is a terrible L
