My favorite part of being the interim managing editor/site manager here is that I get to post stuff like this and the only consequence is all of you calling me a moron. Truly a gift I don't take for granted.

Woods Richardson is fine, but the cost of lettering his jerseys is probably too much for Henry TBH!

He has already removed the hyphen from his name.  Maybe he’s amenable to taking out a few letters as well.

Would it work for Henry if he went by Simeon Woodrich?

If he's really willing to grease the wheels on this thing, and assuming the Red Sox still have a jersey leftover from Smoky Joe, "Simeon Wood" wouldn't even need new stitching.

But you will have to include Jhoan Duran in this deal.  That way the Sox can just recycle Jarren’s jerseys.

But on the bright side, the Twins can do the same thing!  Jarren Duran for Jhoan Duran and Simeon Woodrich.  I’d call it a win-win!!

Fitts is having a nice reverse split season. Kind of weird since hitters are really teeing off on his slider. You think that would be LHB's doing so.

Buxton is having a fun season for the Twins and is guaranteed to stay healthy for the whole series. Willi Castro may be traded while one of these games is going on. He may even just swap clubhouses. Harrison Bader might put a couple onto the Monster. Paddack tomorrow. TBD pitching Wednesday.

Fitts has 9 starts and 37 IP.  In July he's had 3 starts, pitched 12 innings, and given up 7 ER's.

I would still trade Duran and minor leaguers for Joe Ryan.

Just think about it.

He can help us THIS YEAR.

Then follow up with 3 more years of team control.

I'd empty the farm for this guy (non pitchers).

Throw in Kristian Campbell while you're at it (along with some spending money)

For Duran, Campbell and more prospects we should get Ryan and their Duran. I’d add to the offer Early, Sandlin & Mullins for the duo.

Sox need to follow up on the Dodgers series win, and the so-so  previous 6 against division leaders with at least 2 W's vs Twins going into the TDL.

One key would be to get tonight's win with Richard Fitts pitching.  As others  have noted Fitts has been having fits getting  innings finished with 2 outs  .

This  game counts  and the Sox will need a closer for the bottom 9th if they can get the lead.   Hicks throws hard but that is the issue, he is a thrower first and fotremost.

One question as the 2B hole reopens , given Mayer's injury .

Did the Sox burn Kristian Campbell mentally by bringing him up too soon, giving him a contract , demoting him to WooSox, trying a new position,   and now he is not performing well at all on the hitting side ?  Just a ???

Two more years of control.  Seems small right now, but it does matter…

No one can tell about Campbell’s just yet.  But Vaughn Grissom might be buying him sometime given how he’s been crushing everything for the last 2 months…

I don't want Hicks anywhere near a closer role. Whitlock? Wilson?

As long as the pitcher can't throw anything above 92, Grissom can crush it.

No, and Kristian is just fine down there. If a player can't be mentally strong enough to deal with a demotion, they won't be mentally strong enough for an MLB career.

Wilson?  The volleyball from Cast Away?  I’d go with Hicks first…

Hey, I have a fondness for volleyballs. We used them for playing dodgeball when I was in highschool. Our gym teacher was a cool dude.

Nice piece of hitting by our veterans....Yoshida SUCKS.

Duran overall does tons of good things.....but too much going on inside his head.
