This bullpen is a steaming pile of shi t

The team is s***. Same story as last year.  Just when you think the team is turning it around they go on a losing streak. Going to be another 500 year at best

I don’t know how anyone can think this team is anything but hopelessly awful. They played the weak teams. Now they’re going to have to play good teams. By July they’ll be at least 10 games under .500 and out of the playoffs.

Again

Cora needs to go and Henry needs to sell the team. He stopped giving a s*** years ago.

Hendriks and BB throw 14 strikes out of 37 pitches. Putrid. I blame Breslow for this bullpen.

Also time to bench, trade or DFA Story. Bring up Mayer and Anthony.

What can Cora do? Chapman’s the only one who has even come close to being consistent.  Bernardino has been good lately, including some leverage appearances.  Not even close with his pitches tonight.

Still, have to tip you hat to Sale tonight.  He was really good.

Ik people are probably tired of hearing it, but it is still early. The Mets were 20-23 at this mark last year and made it to the NLCS. The one run losses and silly s*** like tonight is beyond frustrating, and we don't look like a playoff team, but we have to be patient. I recommend following ggeiss_mlb on twitter if you haven't already--guy knows ball and is so reassuring.

In the words of Big Papi, stay strong!

While I can't disagreee with all the negative comments--the Sox did make 3 baserunning errors and the bullpen did give up 5 straight walks to give the Braves a 4-1 lead and win--I'm not confident the Sox score any more runs than the 1 they got from Ref's dinger.

I thought the game was over when Crochet gave up 2 dingers, but he ended up with a quality start, 2 runs in 7 IP.  Sale, meanwhile, looked better than I can remember him.  His slider was almost unhittable, even when thrown to righties.

That said, the bigger picture is that these Sox are getting good at losing when they could have won.  It's mostly the bullpen, but the baserunning has also stunk.  On the hitting side, strikeouts with men on base and men in scoring position.  Too many errors on defense.

The buck stops with Cora. A change is obviously necessary and you can’t fire 26 guys. So Cora has to go. He’s also made some pretty stupid decisions.

So it's only the pitching, hitting, fielding, and running.

What is hard to accept is that this game was over after the second Atlanta batter in the 2nd inning.  Credit to Sale  and their BP .

On our side , when a supposed MLB  level pitcher cannot throw a strike ( yes, it may get hit)  then you need to make  decisions on who can actually perform at this level.

The idiotic level of play , especially  in Fenway games, is a reflection on leadership whether it's  by veteran players or dugout staff.   We know Devers defers from leadership roles, and Bregman is already filling out change of address forms as he watches this trash level of baseball.   That leaves you AC.   Why isn't Tek an "enforcer"  for Cora  to call out poor play.    That clubhouse is way too comfortable.

But they compete well right?
