Does anyone else think Duran's shoulder dip is causing him to be under a lot of pitches leading to mucho pop ups.   Maybe he is trying to get his launch angle up to be a HR hitter like Divas  but this isn't working well.

Rafaela Ks AGAIN on a ball that nearly hit his hands. Gotta demote him.

He doubled his first time up. Fantastic catch last night. Plays great defense in center. They are NOT demoting him.

What I do think is anyone who thinks Duran is gonna duplicate last season may want to think again.

If a player saves a run on defense, it's equal to driving in a run on offense.

Here's my plan. Send Campbell down to Woo to play 1st base and bring up Mayer to play 2nd.

You're welcome.

..

This is firmly tongue in cheek, right?

if it’s serious, what is your issue with Campbell?

I want Campbell to be the Sox 1st baseman. Can he learn to play 1st and still play in Boston or would it be better to learn at Woo? I'm fine with either one.

Interesting that Cora lets Slaten go the 9th , holding Chapman for the possible win . Could be a good choice. Shows confidence in Slaten.  The team does need him to not cough it up as the season progresses.

He’s been much too good with the bat to send down.  Yeah, he’s in a slump right now, but sending down your current clean up hitter?

If he has to learn to play 1st, then it’s going to be is Boston, and you live with the defensive ups and downs that that entails.

I think they’ve finally decided to leave him at second instead of bouncing him around.  I’d leave him there and figure something else out.

Toro and Wong B to B.  What a duo.    Up to Rafae;a to try and get us a run

Toro should have been bunting

Good points, but I'd like to see both Mayer and Campbell as everyday infielders this season, sooner rather than later.

So , even if you spot these duds a man on 2nd, still cannot even advance him, much less score.

Another one of those remember that game in late September

Agreed, but Wong still probably strikes out, rendering it moot.

Agreed, also. The pitch he swung at for K3 was a foot high

If this did happen, you'd have a veteran left side of the infield and a rookie right side.
