Epic failure!

Again excellent pitching up until the 7th and we blow the game due to relief pitching. The sad thing is this is the worst team in league. What are we going to do when play the likes of Yankees.

Ive been saying this all along get rid of Cora why they allowed him to come back after he was involved in that cheating scandal in Houston with Beltrán is beyond me.

Cora was a mediocre player at best. He tarnish those world series wins I hear it all the time here in Central New York. It's time to give Tek his justly due opportunity.

Tek as manager? Yes!

I’ll join Brock in saying welcome.

Now, to break you in.  What would you have done differently than Cora yesterday?  Fitts has to go out with a shoulder injury.  You have to use the pen.

Robert was an all-star two years ago when he hit 38 homers.  Not exactly a shock he might hit one.  As I said earlier, he can also run and stealing off Chapman is not difficult. Bad teams still have a few good players.

This streak is on the offense;  you don’t win many games scoring 2 runs or less every game, which is what they’ve done since last Sunday night.

Cora’s abilities as a player have nothing to do with his managing.  He was a decent utility type who carved out 14 years in the majors.  He wasn’t good, he wasn’t bad, but he knew his role and performed in that role pretty well.  You’ll also find most major league managers were not good or great players.

As for what you hear central New York, well, nobody here cares what they say there.  The Yanks have been cheating for decades.

Why do people think he can manage?  Does he even want to?

I’d prefer he get some experience with some other club first.  Other than being in the Mariner farm system more than a quarter century ago, he’s never even been associated with another organization.  It would be best if he were exposed to at least one.

I would have used others in the pen eat up innings Whitlock would have been my first choice. Winckowski should of been released last year. Staten and perhaps Weissert.

Again a mediocre manager that had a below avg career. He is a reflection of the team.

Cora is a cheater period plain and simple there are two things in this world I can't stand are liars and cheaters. I would much rather have Tek as the manager. I still think the reason why he has stuck around is because he's able to communicate with players like Devers and Arroyo and Chapman just to name a few, in their native language. Another reason for my dislike towards Cora he fleeced the Red Sox for aid for Puerto Rico.

Yeah, who knows but intelligence and knowing how to work with a pitcher was his strong suit which theoretically would seem to cross over well to managing.

As for the Red Sox troubles so far, strikeouts, leaving men in scoring position and errors could be seen as pressure. To add to that, team batting average, OBP and stealing bases are all good, stats less related to scoring. It could be their approach to batting like swinging for the fences when a single would do but either way, pressure or batting approach, the manager has some responsibility. I personally think they feel the pressure of having to perform after having such a big off-season and feel they have to live up to that.

That's ok, a lot of Red Sox employees and fans still do.

Soliciting funds for those in need is "fleecing?"

Wow!

Where is the link to "begging" JH, not that begging for charity for others is a vice.

I'm fine with losing respect over cheating, but then why are you a Sox fan? We've been caught cheating several times- from players, coaches, managers to the GMs.
