They also made national news for removing Roberto Clementes number on the outfield wall and replacing it with a seltzer advertisement. They are one of worst run franchises in pro sports. It’s only a matter of time before they refuse to pay Skenes and he’s on the market.

Such a nice stadium, though.

It is an amazing stadium and they have a die hard fan base, the ownership is just awful.

No sure about qualifying, but Texas RHP Wes Littleton did earn a save (in relief of Kason Gabbard) in a Rangers’ 30-3 win over Baltimore in August, 2007.

But Littleton came into the game with a much more precarious 14-3 lead….

See -- this is why you won the unopened box of Topps. I point out an oddity, you counter with esoterica.

I still say if only the Allman Brothers took "One Way Out" and "Trouble No More" -- both cuts from Fillmore East concerts -- off the Eat A Peach LP, and included them instead on At Fillmore East, it would be the greatest live album of all-time. Still might be...

It's gotta be top 10.

My top 10 might be (as of this second)

1. Hello Columbus - Little Feat (1978)

2. The Allman Brothers Band "At Fillmore East" (1971)

3. The Who, "Live at Leeds" (1970)

4. The Grateful Dead "Europe '72"

5. The Band "Rock of Ages"

6. Talking Head, "Stop Making Sense"

7. Bob Marley and the Wailers "Live" (1975)

8. Lou Reed "Rock n Roll Animal"

9. Rollin Stones "Get Yer Ya-Ya;s Out"

10. 100 way tie.

You would've loved this brewery I lucked into a week ago in northern mass. I heard music and followed the sound to the large tent at the end... where a band played for an entire hour, exclusively Allmans and Little Feat. The place was filled with happy old folks.

What's the baseball connection? My 14-year old's travel team had their tournament freezing-rained out (they ate dinners and drank lemonade). I didn't feel guilty leaving the moms catching up with each other. Then we all had to leave when the boys got us kicked out.

Priester is 9-0 in his last 11 starts. i was stunned when he was traded. just a horrible move by Breslow.

Brewers are good at taking pitchers and making them better, kind of like the Rays.  At the end of the day, Priester returned us more value than we spent on him.  You do that on every trade, you're going to come out on top in the long run.....even if Priester turns out to be a stud, which he may not.  Lets see how he does in the long term.

We also have no idea what we have in John Holobetz, Marcus Phillips, or Yophery Rodriguez yet.   And we probably won't for years to come.

this is a team that needs pitching. now. not an oufielder (really) in A ball that is years away. or a draft pick that is years away at best. or a pitcher in A ball that is also years away.

For the record, Priester looked worse than the likes of Kyle Harrison and Dustin May when we traded for him.

Teams don't just trade for a stat line on a piece paper, or a 3 month track record nor do they trade for a what a guy did while playing away.   They're trading for what they think they can turn a guy into.  I don't see many people complaining about Lucas Giolito, who was a signing not a trade but still they thought they could get him right.

Eliminate a pitch, add a cutter, add some velo, mix up the pitch mix, change an arm angle.  Teams look at guys differently than us.  They also must see the forest for the trees, which us as fans often do not.

Read the opinions at the time of this trade. I don't see anybody all that upset about the trade. Most did not comment, so I'm not sure how upset anyone really was.
