Slaten may be back in AUG.

Seems like Alcala was finally DFaed.

Not hearing any of the "keep as many options as possible" crowd speaking out against this choice.

If the option is that bad, I don’t think it’s an option that needs to be available.

But that was quite a while ago.

(He did help for a bit.)

Sox now have the 8th best record in MLB.

0.5 GB HOU #7

-2.0 GB PHI, CHC & DET for the 4th best record

-3.0 GB TOR for the ALE lead and #2 record in MLB behind MIL.

In 2021, we were 64-46 (6th best in MLB) and 1.5 GB the TBR for the ALE lead, but were about to lose 5 of 6 and end up 12-16 in AUG and 14-11 in Sept (3-0 in Oct.)

We added a lot of pitchers in the draft- all but one from colleges. We should start seeing some more attrition moves.

Mills was the typical Sox sign:

The Red Sox have signed right-hander Wyatt Mills to a minor league contract covering both the 2024 and 2025 seasons, MassLive.com’s Chris Cotillo reports.  The length of the deal reflects Mills’ health situation, as he underwent Tommy John surgery last July and may not pitch at all during the 2024 season.

Among others, as well as some SP'ers moving to the pen- maybe a little more quickly than originally expected.

Murphy seems to be living on borrowed time.
penrod for released again. He could replace Isiah !!!!

Slaten probably replaces Isaiah? Looks like they only have 39 guys on the 40 man right now though. Is Slaten the only 60 IL guy expected to come back? Guerrero/Hendriks?

It was good to hear Slaten is projected to be back.

4/1-5/27: 20 G, 21 IP, 5 ER, 6 BB, 10 H, 1 HR, 0.76 WHIP, 15 K, 2.14 ERA, 3.16 FIP

Had a few bumps here or there, but was pretty solid overall.

I think Murphy will be on the 40, next season, unless traded.
